Finally had time to finish up work on my first half of my Genestealer space hulk brood and get some pics, the figs are a little shiny because I have not yet sprayed them with the mat finished but final ones will not be as shiny, let me know what you guys think







Also the rest of the Genestealers undercoated and in next few days will get the rest of the brood painted.

Ah the old classics

Obviously they need basing.

Other than that I'd probably water down the wash a little more anf maybe use two lighter coats as it's puddling in places quite noticeably. Picking out the eyes in a brighter colour (orange/yellow) might also help if you've got the brush control.

Also I hope I dont get yelled at, but the truth is I like the classic Genestealer look over the new ones.. and yeah I am watering the wash mix down now also once I get them all painted I will be basing them on metal ship grating so will post again once they are all finished

was up late last night finishing painting my last Genestealers, I watered down the dip and used it more lightly, once I get them based I will post the pics of my my Hulk gens in all their glory.

Did not have time to get the bases fully finished this evening but got the Genestealers all glued onto their bases and tomorrow will go over them and paint the bases black and grating dry brushed bolt gun metal... Also will paint the eyes at that stage..

I just won a Genestealer Hybrid magus on ebay, he is unpainted and will be ariving this week and I will be adding him to my brood I am also bidding on 4 hybrids to have a small group of hybrids for my swarm all painted up to same standards.

Really looking forwards to getting the Magus I already have a few ideas for a few extra greenstuff details to give to him to add even more details..

They're dipped yes? I like them. My advice would be a quick boltgun metal drybrush to the mesh on the bases and paint the base rim flat black.

Keep up the good work. Its nice to see the old school guys come out and play. The models stand up pretty well compared to the newer ones.

well I won the two Genestealer hybrid metal figures and they will be arriving in a week but I lost on the other two hybrids I was bidding on, but still now I have a magus and two hybrids now and its a good start to expanding my brood. cant wait for them to arrive so I can start working on them,,

Ok my magus arrived in mail today am very pleased with him and I have already cleaned the mold lines off and gave him a full wash to remove any mold release as soon as the other hybrids arrive I will get them cleaned off and ready for undercoating.. also started working on some genestealer test decal designs for putting on the magus robes and for use with the hybrids..

Got my first genestealer hybrid painted have to do the next hybrid and Magus then I can base them together for space hulk use.. here is quick picture of the first genestealer hybrid.
