The Dwarfs of Kazad Karag



Background:

Kazad Karag is a small but proud fortress in the north of the Word Edge Mountains. They are often under siege by many evil foes, because of their rich ressources of iron and gold. So the Dwarfs living their are stoic and well skilled in combat and their runesmith produce every day a huge mass of armoury and weapons for the never ending struggle for survival. The King of the "Vulcanofortress" has command over thousands of the most grim warriors of Karaz Ankhor.
The fortress was named after the active vulcano on top of the mountain's hold, what encloses the fortress with it's magma rivers
The Dwarfs living here have a hot temper and get angry even by the lightest insult! Never a grudge was forgotten until it was settled by blood. So there is no wonder, the biggest shrine of Kazad Karag is the one dedicated to Grimnir, ancestor god of war and battle.

I like these a great deal and I had that exact idea for ancestor ghosts awesome so pleased it works definitly will have to do it now!

Nice work, a fresh take on skin and green leather!
I like how you have many units outside of the book or original ideas of your own for them. Also a great collection of old metal.

Why not take both as you seem to have build them, from his position I would take the first. I would cut of the feet on both and reposition the toes to face the base (makes them look less like standing).

Very nice work! The atmosphere these guys represent is so cool... I was thinking that I w asn't sure that I was too thrilled about your skin tones - but I guess that's how they must be, to honor your painting style.

I especially like the ghost warriors ... that green shade is spot on! well done!

Regarding the Thor, I think I like the no. 2 best. I like that he raises his hammer , and also the no. 1 is sort of too compact (but that's just how the model is designed obviously)
Both of the helm convertions are nice!

I like the battle scene. Very dynamic photography. The shields with the red and green are awesome. Are you going to mix them up in the unit. I also like the pheonix banner. Very NICE.
