I can certainly add you on, but there's a pretty slim chance

First wave of packages went off this afternoon - anyone who's sent me money keep an eye on your letterbox

Still 16 of you folks who haven't confirmed they do want copies - remember I've got a reserve waiting list just waiting to snatch up any spares

    Hey.

My Warlocks just arrived. Well pleased with them! They shall round out my Seer Councils perfectly! Cheers!

Re: Painting a New Eldar Warlock Sculpt

And what should appear while I checked this thread?

They are magnificent, no other word for them. Cast quality is literally flawless on great sculpts (The spear is separate! The hands are open and not fused to it!), flash is minimal & thin, a quick glance showed no mold lines I could see - unfortunately my proper camera's battery died just as I turned it on to snap pics, so this one's from my phone.

the one and only criticism is that the back's a little sparse, but that's a consistent problem with Eldar anyway, nothing I can blame the sculptor or axiom for, I'll probably stick a couple of guardian vanes on there or something (I convert everything, even one-of-a-kind models!)

Throughout this thread I've had a persistent feeling that #2 (spear) was clearly the superior model, and I was basically buying #1 just to complete the set. Now I have them in hand I can see that #1 is actually much better than the pics have conveyed, I'm certainly glad I got both, even though I don't collect Eldar (anymore)

Gonna have to be careful with these, the sculpt quality is great and they have so many little bits just itching to snap...

Thanks Axiom, I'm so glad I had the opportunity to be part of this

I can only echo Charax's words. Warlock #1 is very nice 'in the flesh' and #2 is just as good as you'd expect

Axiom thank you so much for the opportunity to obtain one of each, really beautiful scuplts. Packaging was great.

I'm desperate to paint them but have a dissertation to write!

I'd just like to chime in and say thanks as well. He'll make a perfect spiritseer, or he would if I hadn't sold all my wraithguard.

Hey guys, glad they're starting to get through. Hopefully the international packages won't take too long either. Glad you like them, please do post painted pics when you get chance!

Warlocks came today, absolutely perfect! Thank you! Can't wait to get started on them, though they are at the end of a long to-do list. Ah well, at least by the time I get to them I'll be able to do them justice. Thanks again axiom!

I'm guessing it's way too late at this stage, but I'd love to get hold of either or both of these models, would it be possible to go on the reserve list?

Re: Painting a New Eldar Warlock Sculpt

I received mine today. The mould-lines are excellent, the proportions are much better than I thought from the picture, the cloth-folds are subtle and quite non-GW, but not bad. The back looks better than I had expected, looks good. The cast is very well, minor flash went off by looking at. I found two tiny bubbles which I'm gladly going to accept, they are hard to find and really small. The detail is stunning. The staff and helmet are gorgeous. The popped collar is so thin, some accessory-runes insanely tiny, incredible sculpt and cast.
He is really big though. As big as the newest Autarch, towering some of the very old Warlocks by more than half a head, bigger than a Space Marine. But well, humans aren't all of the same size, so should be miniatures imo too. So it's fine. He's gonna be "the big 'un".

Jes Goodwin once said he doesn't like the word "fluff". Thus I will call it "lore" instead.

Again, as a latecomer to the party, if another round of these should ever come to pass, count me in (possibly for 2 of each)...

    Spectacular looking sculpts!

I would really love to get my hands on sculpt number 2.

Mine just arrived, perfectly cast and well packaged. Extremely happy with it, the detail is superb, even better than the first one.

Great! Glad he made it safely - I think the furthest distance travelled so far!

For those of you on the reserve list I'm now starting to contact you for unclaimed warlocks. For those of you who were on the original list and haven't yet got back to me, I'm assuming you're no longer interested and am offering up Warlocks to the reserve chaps - please get in touch ASAP if otherwise, or there is a very real chance your Warlocks will go to someone else.

@ Kaldenesh / Crimson Reaver / drmarco: There is still a possibility there may be some left after the current interested parties have either taken up or declined to take them. I'll stick you on the bottom of the list and will be back in touch in due course
