Really, it was just a cute nickname, as Dan and Graham were so often referred as the Big Two.
I'd say third generation myself, as I see the early Ian Watson stuff as first generation.

And it's not tiers, it's eras, or epochs

I'm looking forward to this book. My chapter is an Iron Hands sucessor who is finally getting more attention, from Forge World and their Sons of Medusa, FFG and their Deathwatch book coming up, and now this. I do have to keep rewriting my fluff though as Iron Hands get updated though

Definitely looking forward to it. Haven't read Battle of the Fang but have heard good things about Wraight so fingers crossed he'll do it justice. As long as he can rescue the IH from the 5th ed codex portrayal and back to something like their IA or the Deathwatch RPG I'll be a happy chappy.

At the risk of threadomancy... has anything more been heard about this book? It seems that we hear snippets about most of the upcoming books but the internet has been strangely silent regarding Wrath of Iron. Even more strange, considering that Iron Hands players have been waiting so long for another, hopefully better, book. One would think Warseer would be all atwitter about it.

There's an Iron Hands short by Chris in one of the H&Bs from last year. Haven't read it yet, but glimpsing at the first page of it made me wish I would hurry up and do so!

At the risk of threadomancy... Has anyone heard anything more about this? It seems too quiet for something to hit the shelves in a couple of months.

Haven't heard anything no. BL isn't really consistent with their book promotions. Then again, Chris himself has a very limited internet presence so that might factor in too.

Although, BL did just re-release his Flesh short story as an eBook and he has a new SW short story out as well - Kraken. Got it last week. Will give it a run through sometime this week.

Unless its a new Heresy book or a novel by the "big" stars of the Black Library - Abnett, McNeil, King etc. - there usually isnt any major promotion of novels until the month of their release.

I do have to say though after reading his "Sword of" duology and 'Battle of the Fang', anything written by Chris Wraight is a day one purchase for me now. And having recently reread Jonathan Green's 'Iron Hand', i'm very eager to see Chris' take on that chapter.

Agreed. It sorta does make sense the way they do it, but still :-)

Just finished the "Flesh" short storu by Wraight.

Best depiction of Iron Hands I have ever seen. And the interaction between mortals and Astartes was very good, gave the feel of post-human living weapons rather than just giant-humans.

All in all a great read. Hope Wrath of Iron is this good.
