    Cheers man, the skin tones were used from different methods as I wanted a varied skin tone in the unit.

    For pale skin it was this
    Basecoat of vermin brown, then a mix of vermin brown & dwarf flesh -> a layer of dwarf flesh -> a highlight of 3:1 mix of dwarf flesh & bleached bone -> final highlight 1:1 dwarf flesh & bleached bone

    For the terminator lord (guy with the cape) I did a slight difference.
    Basecoat of space Wolves grey & tallarn flesh -> devlan mud wash (thinned as it goes into the recesses) -> a layer 1:1:1 space Wolves grey, tallarn flesh & skull white -> 1:1:2 of the previous combination highlight -> leviathan purple wash around the eyes and lower lip -> final extreme highlight of skull white.

    I would also like one add that the forgeworld heads were easier to highlight and wash, as they have more texture (scarring and wrinkles and whatnot).

    So the Five Dragons finished last night, my partner and I came second out of 60 and we only lost out as Dan ran out of time to paint chevrons on his Iron Warriors. Two points were in it! However I did walk away with best team of Newport and Best Single Miniature for my Daemon Prince. I'm very happy with it :-D

    Personal favourites;

    OK well with these guys done I am considering selling them on ebay or perhaps to a fellow warseerite here! I'll start up a "for sale" thread on the trade forum.

    Your colour scheme looks great
    There once was a buggy AI.
    Who decided her subject should die.
    When the plot was uncovered,
    The subjected discovered
    That sadly the cake was a lie.

    Thanks man! I know what you mean about affording things, this newest price rise has shelved lots of plans and ideas I had!

    I think the world eaters preheresy scheme is one of the best, it's very striking!

    Looking good, but the blood effects feel weird and too focused. Some more splatter and less soaking would have been nice! Love the blue and white of the army though.

    Cheers,
    BTB
