    Any new plastics due?

I seem to remember talk awhile back about something elvish being on the cards but... the whole plastics development has gone a little quiet which is surprising as the slayers seem to have been a huge success. I had a quick nosey around the AOW forum but I couldn't find anything - does anyone knows whats happened?

Best to keep in mind that it'll be Renedra making them, and they have a lot on their plate already, I wouldn't hold my breath on these.

Gaelion over on AoW's forum just posted that a new plastic regiment box was in the works. The preorder should be available in January 2012. As of yet, release date unknown.

Exciting! I just hope it is plastic 'Witch Elves' as has been speculated. It has never been confirmed as far as I know, all we have is wishful thinking and the assumption that AoW will go with the popular choice.

We can only hope. Gaelion's been playing coy about the not-Witch Elves since I suggested it a year ago, so it would be nice to finally get them.

Between the possibility of AoW plastic Witch Elves and DFG plastic SF troops, this might be a good year for all-female armies.

Well it is now the week after the week we were supposed to find out about the new plastic kit and still no word.

I think it's too soon to discount gaelion's comment about how it "should be on the website by next week." I do think that (for better or worse) AoW runs on a pretty slow schedule. One of the hurdles of being a small business, I suppose.

I'm curious to see how the "war-cast" announcement will factor in to this rumored release, if at all. The fact that right now it's direct only is a little bit sad, but I have so much collecting/painting to do that I can't really be too upset by it.

    Re: Any new plastics due?

Here's a development: Still not many specifics per se...

This first War-cast release is a multi-part regiment, 20 multi-part minis, torsos/legs/arms/heads (20 different ones!)/different weapon combos, command accessories, ... for a hint to what it is: Apoc, War Price for War-cast will be not as cheap as plastic, but still very affordable for building regiments, and seeing the detail definition I really thyink is worth the small difference.

Pieces do not come in a big sprue, they come in small plastic bags, organized by type (trosos, legs, heads, ...).

    Very excited!

I'm posting this in the War-cast thread as well.
