    Looks great!

    Love the light but dirty feel. The lens is great, brave to go brown but works well.

    Top notch

    Stunning. It's good to see you didn't fall into the trap of trying to fill every open space with rust\contamination, but you have got it just right. I love the FW plague marine kits so will be nice to see these done in your style.

    Re: Doing Death Guard...slowly

    Finally time to update. This last squad took me forever, but that should be fitting with the title of this plog so...

    Working with the FW conversion kit was fun and not too much of a hassle even though a couple of casting/resin issues showed up. All in all I'm happy with the outcome, even though looking at some of the other DG plogs here has me speechless both in terms of painting and conversion work (I'm looking at you Narcissus!!!)

    Next up is my FW nurgle sorcerer which will bring me to a legal 800 point list (more or less). Still dragging my feet on those rhinos though....my personal great white....

    Looks great! How did you do the flesh on the one without helmet? I'm using him as a lord and I'm not sure how to do the flesh. I was considering doing a yellowish colour but that red skin tone looks very interesting.

    @Gargantuan- Thanks. The skin is tallarn flesh washed with a 60/40 mix of gryponne sepia and leviathan purple. Then highlight with tallarn mixed with skull white in two lighter highlights. Then leviathan purple and baal red washes in the recesses and where appropriate. Gives it a great "dead skin" look. All skin and organic areas in the army is done like that.

    @supervalo- cheers pal. I'll set you up later.

    @mrs&s- very kind. The struggle is worth it once the squad is on the table!

    man these are gorgeous - they look lighter in this pic you've obviusly changed something in your set up or edited them?!

    I think they look really smooth - top work.

    The new "look" of the pics is due to using a very proper setup for the pics. I have a pal who is a semi-pro photographer who invested in equipment for these kinds of pics and wanted some experience using it. I could look into what he's using as I know you're into that thing.

    They look great. Very crisp painting. The detail in the basing really gives a great finished look. I bet the lighter colours really help them to stand out on the tabletop too. Great work!

    Re: Doing Death Guard...slowly

    Thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate the "support". Makes me keep my focus that much better
    Anyways time for a small update. I've managed to finish my HQ- the Forge World Nurgle Sorcerer. I cut off the nurglings on him as I just couldn't picture a fearsome Chaos leader having these little froglike things crawling all over him. Also a couple of marines from the last squad for a more close up look. I'm very happy with the blood effects on the icon (looks better in RL, but still)- Thanks a lot for the help there Rev As always C&C most welcome.

    Next up I will finally tackle those Rhinos. I've found a paint scheme I like very much in the siege of Vraks part 3 IA boob (pg 32 bottom if I remember correctly) that seems easy enough and fitting for my fluff of these guys making use of captured vehicles and gear.

    Wow. You do not stop impressing me on the painting. The more I see, the more I like..... They are disturbing, yet sublime. Particularly the blood effect stands out, on the standard/icon I mean. And as always; you wield a certain kind of magic when it comes to these guys faces and "skin", excellent!

    On a "non-mini-note". Big cred to you'r friend "the photographer". The last set of pics were quite over-saturated and "bleedy" in the colors (don't know if anyone knows what I am actually trying to explain here.....), but these two are spot on. Great lightning, no shadows and very "close" to RL. If at all possible, feel free to PM me about any details in his setup......!!

    Looking forward to crushing them on the tabletop

    Gorgeous looking DG. I'll echo what's been said earlier, the lighter palette looks superb and very nurglesque!!

    Re: Doing Death Guard...slowly

    @Super Valo. Thanks pal. Flattery will get you everywhere but I will still smash your blood red lackeys off the table once we get together

    @eltanko: Thank you very much

    @Rev: That was the effect I hoped for . Luckily most watchers shout have gotten shots for that before watching.

    @horacus: Thanks

    @Mega Nutz: I am happy with the colours, but it will be interesting to see how I can fit in onto bigger units..time will tell.

    Right, small update. I have gotten my two rhinos built and primed and am just awaiting the opportunity to get them spraypainted by a friend of mine. He's got mad skills with an airbrush and I figure that is the way to go. That said I might decide to try an alternative McGyver solution.....

    In the mean time I finished my first Spawn- the Fly lord. Fluffwise he'll be a former squad champion that didn't quite live up to Nurgles expectations. I've tried to tie it in with the rest of the army by giving him the same scheme on the claws as the others have on their armour. The skin is much darker as I figure deamons/deamonlike things should have a different palette than the "regular" DG units. Pics show him much lighter that he is in RL, but you get the idea. Blood effects will be added later.

    C&C always welcome. Oh, and I will be getting a FW plague hulk to use as a Defiler or as a..well...plague hulk in friendly games. Stay tuned as they say

    Its all looking great I like the spawn too looks very FLY like if you could get the eyes to look like a fly then it would be perfect...you make me want to copy it then go kill the bigest fatest fly I can find near my garbage cans then put his face under a magnifying glass and Green stuff the spawn face to look just like it.
