Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Will try to remember to take my camera with me next Sunday ... we didn't play with the river set yesterday (yeeesh, 0:35, it's already Monday !) ...
Oh BTW, sorry I didn't leave feedback on your store, I'm not a member of the right social networks for that ... feedback here is OK ?

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
It's turned off for now I think, you won't be able to, most likely. I have to look into it. And yeah, it's time for me to go to bed too xD

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Nice, very nice. Unfortunately not something I could use, since I restricted myself to terrain for armies I have. The other obelisk is also great, very 3D. I hope these do well.

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Ah well, that's a shame, and since I'm basically doing all the entries from the terrain generator in the BRB, there won't be many things that will interest you.
Anyway, the DE obelisk is up!

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
As promised, I played a game this Sunday afternoon with the river set and the "sample" pond, and took pictures ... still need to buy and print the roads and the two obelisks, maybe at the end of this month if my budget survives the hunt for Squigs on eBay ...
Anyway, here come slightly blurry pics of the aforementioned pieces in action (please forgive some unpainted models and proxies ... the game were Warriors of Chaos vs Dwarves in a Battle for the Pass and a Battle Line scenarios, and I wanted to try some combos before buying the models for my WoC armies) :

This is the best feedback I can give, the river is a real pain for Chaos armies (even more so when slowed down by an Anvil of Doom), but it is a pleasure to play with, models slide over it without problems, the details are superb, and it's largely long enough for a 6x4 table (we even had one section left after bisecting the table).
Enjoy the pics, and once more, THANK YOU Urgat for your marvelous work !

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Yeah, the white borders of the pond really clash ... I've left them at the place where I play, so I'll try to recut it next week
Hmmm ... first guess : an Idol of Gork Or Possibly Mork ? Or a goblin hut maybe ...
Second guess, the G/F induced one : a Dwarf Statue/Monolith/Runic Plinth ?

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
First guess is right, second guess is not completely wrong
If you think that for now I'm only doing BRB terrain, it shouldn't be to hard to guess.

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Yep, it's a dwarven brewery
Not too sure yet if I'm going to go for a regular building, or something more fortified, like a brewery-themed tower. As for the orc idol, I've taken a particular approach to it, I hope people will like it.

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
I have the paper one from the old "The Grudge of Drong" campaign set. Well, as in: "It is still in the sheets in the box somewhere around here" (stored dry).
That is not unfeminine, check out a Dutch female student house bar. Some even drink more then I can
. The part thereafter of being drunk is bad for both sexes. Besides a lot of girls drink wine by default, making French men...

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Hehe, my better half has a taste for beer (unlike me)
Anyway, here's a sneak peak of the orc idol:

It's not finished, there's also going to be weapons and shields and hanged bodies and stuff you'll be able to add where you want. Contrary to one might expect, it's also going to be very simple to build, there's only 5 very simple parts to the idol itself (one for the mud "base", one for the "jaw", two for the "skull", and one for the pit between the jaw and the skull.

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Urgat, fantastic work on these pieces.
I fully plan to purchase some of the pieces (I'm pretty impulsive so probably all of the pieces) in the next week or two. The idol of Gork...or is that Mork? Looks freaking awesome and I can't wait for it to hit your store.

Re: Urgat's terrains and paperworks
Hopefuly (I stress it as in "not garanteed") it will be released friday. There's really little left to do, the idol itself is done. It's mostly a problem of me working on night shift these days and being a tad too tired to work on it at all when I get back home. Break tomorrow till friday though, so hopefully I'll put the finishing touches by then.
Thanks for the comments anyway, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
