    Sanctus cover art

saw the cover art and and read the blurb for Sanctus on BL and it looks pretty good. I didnt know much about the relictors so i looked them up to find out more about them. first thing i saw kinda confused me though. in the relictors Lexi and 40k wiki pages it has chapter colours as grey with black shoulder guards and white tactical markings. the cover art for Sanctus shows white armour with blue tactical. i put this down to a mix up with the artist, its not the first time cover art has messed up a few details. the entire armour color scheme seems like a big thing to get wrong but ok. then i read the lexi and wiki pages and got really confused. relictors are renegades (think Soul Drinkers with different reasons), why are they working for the Inquisition?the only thing i can think of is that this story is on the timeline between the name change and the relictors being declared excommunicate traitoris. that or someone messed up and put the wrong chapter name in the blurb on BL.com. colours from the cover art match the White Consuls perfectly so that makes sense for the art
any thoughts or better ideas for whats going on with Sanctus?

Its not the wrong chapter name. Darius Hinks was writing this for the relictors from the get go. The white consuls feature heavily in fateweaver and there is no reason to suppose they dont cameo here either.

After all, the accursed eternity cover has a blood sword yet the blood swords dont really do much in the story ''on screen''.

The Architect of Fate is an anthology of four linked novellas. Fateweaver and Accursed Eternity are the most connected ones of the four but still, they are all about Kairos Fateweaver. So Sanctus and Fateweaver hve everything to do with each other, especially since Jon did all five covers- the four novellas and the anthology itself.

Its either that or the Inquisitor involved is a Radical. In the original Index Astartes rules for the Relictors, the only kind of Inquisitor that could ally with the Relictors was a Radical, due to their (rumoured) use of Chaos Artefacts.

If you want to know more about the Relictors, all of their old articles are up on my website (in my signiature below).
