    They are all clearly marked as coming from ghost21. Everybody knows the story now. I don't think we need to bother drawing specific notice to it now. They should stay visible as a record of who said what when.

    Well, an assault unit: get close, shoot on the way into combat and assault. They can't exactly stay out of CC with the range on that gun. Main problem is they lack of lot of things some people consider to be 'must haves' for CC units, and points and money wise, they aren't a good value. With a transport they push terminator point costs, and they just aren't that good in combat for that price.

    They can't stay out of combat because of their range and don't have any close combat kit. Sounds more like a shooting unit with poor shooting rules than a close combat unit to me .

    Ogryns, to me, are clearly meant to be a counter-assault unit that is though as nails and hits hard. Short ranged guns with multiple shots, decent BS, decent WS (WS4 is decent... WS3 is bad in the meta imo), furius charge, high S, high T, many W and stubborn is all good things for an assault unit. What they lack is a good number of attacks for their points, and their initiative is on par with an ork making them dead if they fail their leadership in combat.
    That is why I say that they have some good points for a melee unit, but their point const and irl cost for the models really hold them back big time. Especially when you can get around 3 times as many rough riders for same cost that while being one-hit-wonders are pretty good at being that.

    Anyhow. I believe that Cruddace will do fine with the shooting units and that he has learned one or two things about making melee units to make the kroots and vespids better/usable and if the demiurges are true that they might be hit or miss. Anyway, I have faith in Cruddace for making the tau 'dex.

    Argh, off topic, but those guns are big and bulky so they can survive being used as clubs by the Ogryns.
