    Dwarf Tale Miniatures

Anyone know what has happened to Dwarf Tales, their website has dissapeared suddenly. Hopefully just a temporary thing.

    I was wondering the same.
I asked a question on the facebook wall in december but got no answer.

And unfortunatly, it s impossible to contact the owner of a fan page.

I sent an email to an old email address i had for them and got no reply and the website host refused to tell me if they had gone out of business or something. I really hope they are back online soon. Their Volgar range had awesome potential. Im going to try contact them through their CMON profile: https://www.coolminiornot.com/242431

I like their Orcs. If I budget, I may be able to buy some, but I hope they are still available!!

I will preface the following by saying that I'm Polish, Dwarf Tale was a Polish company and the miniature market is a bit on the smallish side here, so basically everyone 'in the industry' knows everybody else.

I heard from a friend that the company went belly up. He runs a sort of a gaming journalism website and I consider him a reliable source of info. Sorry to hear that, since I really liked some of their Lidd range, but truth to be told they did have a very limited offer and a slow release schedule, coupled with a hodge-podge game that didn't really take off...

Thats a shame to hear, but also surprising. Even if the company went bust they'd still have assets to sell. I'm surprised no one picked up the range as it was pretty tasty.

Its the kind of thing I'd buy with a lottery win

Sorry to hear that another compagnie has closed.
Their Krakkov range was great, i nearly bought all the Krakkov minis, i only missed the second female squire (unfortunatly it was the best of the 2)

Thanks for the update, that is a real shame. I was going to buy the female squires but didn't get around to it. If you hear anny more information, or something about them selling their moulds or anything like that please update us.

    Re: Dwarf Tale Miniatures

You can still buy some leftover Dwarf Tale minis from a Polish webstore at http://gildianajemnikow.pl/index.php?k64,b-warcanto-b

They seem to have both female squires in stock at the moment.

I don't know if they'll ship internationally or what the price for shipping might be, and I can't seem to find an English version of their site. So you will probably have to drop them a line at zakupy@gildianajemnikow.pl in order to iron out the details.

They might also know a bit more about Dwarf Tale going AWOL, since they were one of the larger stockists carrying the Warcanto line.

    Re: Dwarf Tale Miniatures

Ah.. thats a real shame. I was planning on getting the Krakkov minis. I just needed to finish up painting up most of what I have already.

I dont think there is any other Husari like minis available in 28mm currently.

    Re: Dwarf Tale Miniatures

Well it's no surprise they struggled. I haven't ever heard of them before, meaning their advertising strategy (if they have any) isn't really working all that well. Seeing as I visit a LOT of different websites... Anyways, from what I have seen from my quick glance through their rules and models, they are AAAAAAAWESOME!!!

Definitely something I would want to play. So... I am hoping that their miniature range will be back, as I am so downloading their rules when I get back home.

Maybe someone can send a message to tabletopgamingnews.com to tell them "Dwarf Tales is back"?? If they don't do it themselves, maybe the fans can do something about it. I'm sure they won't mind if people help them out a bit. I sure do hope they will get back into business. It's definitely a game I am willing to try out.

    Re: Dwarf Tale Miniatures

They were doing fairly well when they first started a few years back. They did cost a fair penny though from what I remember, and at the time I did kind of brush them off.

Some of those dwarves though are rather tasty - I seem to remember the range being bigger though?

    Re: Dwarf Tale Miniatures

Oh, very good to hear that they're still around. I did a few of their dwarves for a Mortheim warband commission and after that almost the whole range for a video review. It's good models and you get nice weapon and head options.
