    Mirbeau's Vampire Counts.

Have had a bunch of miniatures sitting around awhile, and the new release has spurred me on to finally start painting them.

I'm going to use my other (ridiculously named) plog for sporadic elven updates and keep this one strictly toothy, it was getting rather cluttered. I part-painted Konrad for it, and will be using a strong purple (with occasional red) unifying colour. Which will fit in with my purple dark elves, purple empire, purple dark eldar.... Original eh

What I have right now is - A few old metal wights (whq)
    A necromancer
2 Lahimans (think the spelling is off there)
    1 Recent vamp lady
    50 Zombies
    about 60 skeletons (not sure....)
Some old bric-a-brac that'll end up spirit hosts

I'm going to add two boxes of black knights to the above (and whatever else takes my fancy) when the new stuff comes out.

I want all this done by the end of feb... Been assembling like a maniac for a week or so, got painting tonight.

C&C welcome, do bear in mind all is work in progress - got a lot of reds, flames, gems, basing and some vampire boob shading to finish off.

I'm aiming for a good gaming standard, I can't be too precious about these due to the sheer number of minatures!

    with no further ado...

    Some choice close-ups.

I really like my vamp, the picture doesn't do her justice mind - I'll take more when she's finished. Really chuffed with the corroded metals.

Ouch (he's the least finished of the lot)

Scratch that, these two have some guts and gore to go - putting this picture up 'cause I'm experimenting with a greener rotting flesh look (see the stomach of the zed nearer the camera) - thoughts?

Nice zombies and some great conversions. I like the corrupted Sister of Sigmar and the green flesh on the last picture looks good and icky - if such a combination of words is possible.

Good luck with them damn *@!*(&^()*_ &$@$% skellingtons. Assembling twenty of them myself right now, although it feels more like 30 because they keep snapping and needing reglueing.

Lovely colours - you have light (but muted) colours and dirty ones in there, and the overall effect is great. I like the the fact that you have considered the colours of the clothes the Zombies would have worn when alive (eg the uniforms). Great stuff so far.

Wow! Such a delightful start to an army! Really liking how you paint, the dull tones just look superb on them zombies. By chance could we see the squat fellow who seems to be a few limbs short?
