Apparently they are doing a "drastic refurbishment" to the range, with many colours changing or vanishing.
Till march, paints can be ordered in singles by retailers, so we can run down our stock.

This is getting really tiresome.
It feels like they have to mess with their range of paints at least twice a year without any apparent reason.

So the people who use the colours they'll inevitably get rid of are meant to do what exactly?
Don't really bother me, I've just started to move to vallejo :')
I personally can't wait to see what new colors come about. Also when/if some of my fav colors vanish I will just order Vallajo Game Color![]()

Do what they should have done a long time ago?
Go here?

That's it, I'm moving to vallejo solely bar for the washes.
Cheers,

How about checking out this random cavalcade?
I'm crazy and I'm Finnish. Don't blame me, it's the polar bears!
Well, I think except foundation & washes, I'll go to coat of arms too...
I juste HATE when they remove some paint. What's the point of removing 5-6 colours? How much do they win by doing this?
In 10 years there will only be black, white, scorched brown, greenskin, ultramarine blue & blood angel red in the mega paint set![]()
Oh dear, the last time I did this I stocked up on Midnight blue (still got my last two pots left of the four) but I suspect that this will push more players towards Vallejo. I've been slowly migrating depending on when I need new colours. If a large mass go missing I'll just switch completely to avoid the constant rejiggery!
However, generally GW's new painting products are quite good (if a bit too small) so I hope that maybe we'll see something special again. Liquid green stuff, washes, and the foundations (thank the Emperor for the yellow!) are all excellent products to have evolved from their lines.
Warhammer Armies: Empire, Night Goblins, Dwarves, Daemons of Chaos
40K Armies: Chaos, Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Chaos Daemons, Tyranids, Tau
Epic Armies: Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Orks, Adeptus Titanicus.
BFG Forces: Imperial Navy, Chaos.

They generally remove paints that aren't selling well, regardless of their hobby utility.
In previous losses of paint range, I lost Brazen Brass (the primary metallic color of my High Elves), Beaten Copper (primary metallic for my Vampire Counts), all the inks (used Brown Ink and Chestnut Ink a lot), and some others I can't even think of at the moment. This actually discouraged me from adding units to the armies which had lost paint colors. Good work, GW.

I never understood why they removed brazen brass - it was such a versatile metallic.
Still, with others on here - move to Vallejo on the whole a while ago.
Ever made an order with Red Star One, Conversion Corner, Three Stage Studios, Resin Forge? Positive or Negative Experiences? I'd love to hear from you - confidentiality guaranteed.
Brazen Brass has gone......when did this happen? Has it been that long since I last brought a pot of that paint?
I started the move to vallejo a while ago, not for any reason other than I like some of the different shades etc. I even have some foundry paints that I use and they are very good for certain things.
It could just be an entire change of the pot that they are in rather than paints being removed etc.
The washes and foundation paints are mostly what I use now so I'd be upset if they changed (although there are alternatives). For the rest I've also started to swap to Vallejo paints - I'll just use up what I have of GW and replace them with Vallejo equivalents.
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... and then it's just fun!

Citadel Foundation, Washes and Metallics + P3 everything else = win. Aside from a few colors that I really like, or the really basic colors that P3 doesn't make (ie. Codex Grey) I am not worried anymore. Citadel paints are too expensive and I hate the bottles, so good riddance... if it's true, anyway.
And besides, GW already discontinued all their best colors (Brazen Brass, Scaly Green, the GOOD orange...), so who needs 'em
Side note, I hear P3 metallics got better since their initial release, so if that's true then another win for P3. I just didn't like the feel/texture of their metallics, and they separated out on me (badly) after sitting for a few months.
I found an old Citadel paint pot and it was 20ml, the current range is only 12ml
where's my pink!
I can't understand why they keep shrinking their range and other companies seem to be expanding.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
Thing about Vallejo game color is that it sucks (yes IMHO). Last time GW did this I invested heavily into the VGC line, and ended up tossing the bunch. But I know the feeling: I used to use Jade Green for the uniforms for my Palmyrans (historical army...I have them in both 25mm and 15mm!), and that was axed in the last round of cuts.
I may re-invest in Coat d'Arms, but it won't be easily as I'm pretty heavily invested in GW paints, and I know how they "work..."
