Thanks m8 12 gang members and a ratskin to be exact

I have finished 2 more minis (sans a small detail that I will get to in a minute...)

And thought i would post them up for you guys before I hit the hay

You guys have already seen Froggy but now meet JJ (short for JibberJabber) and Bill, my (juve) flamer toting specialst

As you might see the bases arent done yet (like always, im saving those for when the entire gang is complete so I can paint them ALL in one go!) and the 2 other juves dont have a hair colour yet

Im somewhat undecided on the hair.... Should I make them blonde just as Froggy or should I mix in some other colours as well? You know to keep them all from looking the same?

The picture quality isn't good, but even with that the painting seems to be a good job.

I particulary like how meatgrinder (hur hur) turned out The danger stripes on his chainsword give him a very nice (and dangerous! look at those danger stripes!) appearance

I want to experiment on another source before I try to do any eyes as im pretty sure that il screw them up luckily my empire army has plenty of state troopers that are fit for the rear ranks. Noone minds some cross eyed halberdiers in the 4th rank right?

The white sheet makes them a bit easier to see. I'd try adding a white background too as sometimes cameras are distracted by what's going on behind what you want to photograph!

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Hey guys. Ive had a game last weekend against Fawful's gang

I brought some smaller ruins along and together with his terrain we setup the table at his place. We simply did a gang encoutner (or whatever scenario 1 is called) placed the terrain on the table and went for it Before the game we rolled for his terretories but we followed Yakromunda's experience rolls. They were all around the 3 or 4 mark and seemed avarage enough, we dident feel like rolling for every model.

I won the dice to setup first and the dice to have first turn as well! Sadly however Meatgrinder had to miss the battle due to his old battle wound but the rest were good to go!

First turn I had most of my gang running for better posistions. The table was a few inches short of the 4 feet mark so we only had a 6 inch deployment zone. I used my tunnels to setup Bill, shorty and Dave near his right flank, behind cover.

His first turn, he fired at my gang taking a wound off my gang leader and taking Rattlesnake Jennie (my ratskin) out of action... He used his vents to setup his heavy, backup heavy and other ganger on elevated posistions.

My 2nd turn, my heavy did me proud by taking out fawful's backup heavy who also died to his unjuries in the end game (in his first game! woooo!!!) I moved my heavy and placed him on overwatch. My shooting was pretty abmissal sadly doing 0 damage aside from that.... Gangleader failed his I test to get up.

His 2nd turn, right at the start of the turn I fired my heavy at his heavy. He needed 6's to hit but got 5 shots! And then missed all of them... (oh snap!) he shot at shorty (and took him down, but not out of action) one of my juves who was spearheading the centre was also downed as was my heavy...

My 3rd turn, I had to roll a bottle test already but luckily passed it with flying colours! Dave and bill were about 5-6 inches away from his right flank. I opend up with my flamer, hitting his 2 shotgunners but rolled snake eyes to wound. I think Dave hit with his shotty as well but also failed to wound I shot at his heavy, hitting him 2 or 3 times and failed to wound each time.... Every char that had BS4 also failed spectaluary.... I used them same dice for every to hit roll and think I rolled 4 1's in a row... I picked up another to fire with and noticed that nothing else could fire anymore

His 3rd turn. One of his shotgunners and a nearby lasgunner(or autogunner, not sure) walked up to Dave and Bill and...missed... (I think thats the first time in the entire game that his shots missed ) he took down the last of my gangleaders wounds but he wasent out of action, shot up Duncan, took Jibber Jabber out of action and caused general mayhem across my gang.

Things were starting to look grim at the start of my 4th turn, but with 2 gangers in the posistion to open up a can of whoop ass, a juve recovering to a flesh wound last turn and the fact that my gangers werent out of action yet meant I still had some measure of a chance to at least make it a draw, at least for moral victories sake... And then I rolled a double 6 for the bottle test

With 8 out of 12 models down it was perhaps for the better that we dident play for another turn.... Who knows how my charges (Dave and Bill were in spitting range of his right flank) would have turned out...

I started to roll who would get injuries and my gang leader, Duncan, Jibber Jabber and Jennie were the only ones actually getting an injury! The rest were fine! That was a relief on its own

Then came the rolls for injuries:
    My gang leader died
Duncan got horrible scars (making his nickname "pretty boy" a somewhat ironic one....)
Jibber Jabber survived against the odds and became a full fledged ganger.
    Jennie got horrible scars.

Well OK then! My gang leader aside (may he rest in peace) I got off very well with those injuries! I also lost my tunnels sadly but since I still got 2 vents I guess thats not such a major loss considering some of the other terretories that I might have lost... Why do I keep placing myself in bad posistions to begin with? At least with vents you can place your models almost assuredly in cover! In the least in an elevated posistion which in itself generally at least provides soft cover....

I also got some nice advancements:
Fred, my heavy got another attack (for a total of 3 now....seriously attacks on a heavy, how useless can these advancements get?)
Dave got inventor (woooo) sadly dident invent anything....
Duncan should have gotten an advancement but I just found I forget to roll it
    Jose got BS 4.
Bill got +1 LD (total of 8)
Froggy got +1 LD (total of 8)
Shorty got step aside (sadly doesent work against ranged shots...)
Jibberjabber got fixer (would have preferred an ability that actually impacted the GAME and not the aftermath....*sighes*)

Overall not to bad as far as advancements go. I now have 3 LD 8 characters, 2 of which were juves! Dave however had the most XP so he became the new gangleader. An axe wielding, gadget inventing maniac for a gang leader... I can live with that... To be perfectly honest, the model has tons more character and potential then my gang leader did... It just sad my gang leader had a power weapon when he went and bought the farm! (or however those yanks say it...)

Out of my income I got 45 credits, 15 of which went to Jennie so she could get high on some shrooms or something. Then I rolled for what rare items I could find and I found an infra red scope! It cost me 40 credits to buy and with only 30 credits to spend I was somewhat in a pickle... I decided to sell of 2 items of kit that my gang had. I sold my heavies chain (he never got into combat anyway...) and Shorties autopistol! With an auto hitting flamer with a 2+ ammo roll thanks to my armorers I dont forsee it beeing much of a problem.... Also if they do survive his flamer hes most likely in combat or down the next turn anyway... AND he cant use his pistol and knife for the extra attack... Useless kit, getting rid of it for a scope that nulifies 1 point of cover sounds like a good trade to me!

And I gave it to Duncan Hes now BS4, has an autogun (with 2+ ammo rolls) with infra red scope and has marksman. If anything else he should prove himself the next coming battles. Needing 4's to hit something tops Is very good in Necromunda if you ask me!

And lastly I would like to share a little picture I found online... I think it perfectly illustrates how my gang was performing the entire game:

Honestly I have NO idea whats its supposed to be.... A pegasus or something? But the facial expression is SPOT ON!!! They were derping around the field like there was no tommorow! Il add the pictures later when my phone will actually load them...

Losing a leader is pretty demoralising, take it from me. I've had the same thing happen, and just when she finally stared to use her power sword too!

At least the other injuries weren't that bad.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Oh yea totaly! Like I said myself: Aside from the gangleader the other injuries werent bad.... In fact, they were ALL beneficial! Either giving my models the cause fear rule or in the form of extra XP!

The more I think about it though the more I realize it was a blessing in discuise. Yes I lost my leader, but to be honest aside from the power weapon he dident have much going for him.... Dont get me wrong, the BS and WS of 4 were nice but even with his stats he never really accomplish...much. He killed a juve without much gear going for him... If thats all he accomplishes in 5 games he wont be missed that badly tbh... Specialy not since his totaly rating was over 300! What gives! He costs the same as 3 gangers and does nothing?

That said my gang generally is very cross eyed with their shooting.... And half of them are equipped for combat and never reach it... perhaps I should revieuw my gameplan?

My gang can't shoot the broadside of a barn sometimes! They're kinda fulfilling some very negative stereotypes about the martial prowess of the female gender.
My leader was similar, as I never rolled for the exp of anyone who had an injury she wasn't the major loss she might've been.

Hate to burst your bubble here but, no, it doesn't. You add that 100 to what he's earned from all his territories put together, then cross reference that on the income chart to give the final profit that is available to be spent. It is not +100 to every territory, it is +100 to the total income earned from all territories.

    For example if you've got 5 Tunnels, it's (5x10) + 100, not 5 x (10+100). Big difference.

Oh....Yea that does make quite a difference! It is noted down abit strangely but we figured it was 100 for every terretory... Our bad then. Well make sure to do it properly in the future games

It's not a case of "your bad" as the rule is quite badly written, it's definitely "Their bad" , I'm sure many native speakers would struggle to pick up on the exact meaning of that sentence.

The rulebook isn't quite the standard of the mainstream rulebooks. For example, in the bolt shell rules it states that it can set targets on fire the same way a Flamer can. Yet, the flamer doesn't have rules for setting targets on fire anymore!

That's the Hotshot shell rather than Bolt, and as I understand it the "Catch fire" rules should have been in there, they were unintentionally left out.

Hotshot yeah! I just typed the wrong thing! I wish I read the shell rules before thinking "Charisma has four of the five available shells, let's buy that fifth and make it a set".

Oh yea! We defenitly noticed that somethings could have defenitly be written down more clearly... Specialy the rulebook that I bought (to support the game I guess) is FILLED with errors and spelling mistakes.... Annoyingly so even....

That said were also not native english speakers so we may get more things wrong then people who are

Hard fall there with your leader there, Demoulius^^
    But then, life goes on
Any chance you'll take some single mini photos in the near future? I'm bursting to see how other Necromundans convert their gangers

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Single mini shots? Sure m8 If youd like il make some tomorrow with natural lightning. Should get better quality pictures that way!

Any special details you want to see?

And yea Vendris will be missed but if its any easing on the pain I like the model for the new leader better I actually started writing a piece of fluff for my blood angels a while back where I had a veteran sargeant running around with an identical name, I guess he isent as dead as we would like to believe

My new leader Dave Dangerous (DD *giggle*) also has WS4, a skill for close combat and the same LD as Vendris. So eh... in the long run im not noticing much difference. Guess I AM missing parry on him though... Hmmm will have to fix that somehow. The skill is to good not to have

He missed BS4 and bolt shells though. So my leader wont be doing the most damage with shooting as I would like...

Speaking of which, ive thought about my game tactics abit and I think they need a HUGE overhaul... Im basicly trying to adopt my blood angels assault tactics to them and in this game system thats, to safely say; a very bad idea... If you even get hit by ranged weapons you are pinned. If you lose 3 models you have to test to run off the map. It strikes me (a few games to late I guess) that my force would be served better if I adopt a more cautious gameplan next time I play a game.

I was reckless and careless and it cost me. Il try not to make the same mistake again
