Your games always seem to go better than mine, but then again you never had to deal with teleporting Genestealers and collapsing floors leading to several thousand mile drops!

I wouldn't fret over the head wound, worst case scenario you get a laugh out of it (once had two girls with stupidity who just wandered everywhere one game), best case you roll up frenzy and your guy tears someone a new one.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Well the game dident start out looking good for me Got some wounds on some of my best gangers and only narrowly won the match as my opponent shot one of his own men when he dident have to and was taking far to long to achieve his goal

Most of the other games were won not because of tactical brilliance or such but either through sheer luck or bad moves by my opponents In the zombie game I was basicly just the one farthest away from the zombies (when they got close though I was seriously starting to sweat! The game ended just in the nick of time or I would have voluntarily bottled...)

And well. We dont have a genestealer cult in our group either! :-P

I repaired most of the ruins before the game btw (dont think it shows in the pictures but ok) and some others broke again.... Seems like an eternal dance. I fix one thing two break. I fix two things one thing breaks... Should really pull out an afternoon to apply some thick seams of greenstuff to things that frequently break

Coming back to my injured men. Im really hoping im getting a bionic eye for a rare trade soon ive got 2 gangers (meat doesent care) who want their BS back

Also what should I do with Bill's grenade launcher? Its abit to random for my taste to allow him to keep it but his BS of 4 is SO nice and I dont want to waste it... I thought of this but am not sure if its a wise choice. Removed Bill's grenade launcher and Meat's chain. Gave both to Fred (BS4 heavy with 3 attacks) Fred had a flamer which I gave to Bill. Bill still has a autogun that he had as a backup weapon allowing me to make use of his BS4 (if he isent randomly walking around leaving a trail of drool or charging headlong at the enemy ) He keeps his I5 and he present an element of amusement (or frustration) to my game until I decide what to do with him

Also not to sure on the mechanics of the chain. It has 2 rules but in the fluff it states you cant use it with a different weapon? Is this also a rule? Somewhat the reason why I removed it from Meat as it would mean the weapon combo is illegal but im not to sure if it is...

Why cant they write down these rules more clearly!

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

I'm not 100% on the chain rules myself really. They clump it with the flail which as you know is a two handed weapon (in real life as well as Warhammer), yet a chain is something you could probably whip around one handed.

I know! Its far to unclear!

To avoid a discussion though ive moved it to someone else and il give Meat a 2nd chainsword when I get to it. Come to think of it, that might be more in tune with his name

Man this takes me back. Now I regret selling my Delaque and Orlock gangs.
Campaign play is the best, and it looks like you have a pretty cool one going.

No need for a second Chainsword (unless it's for the look, gotta have the look, or you know a rival who has disarm), as a second sword will still give you an additional parry and the damage will be done using the chainsword's strength.

    Thanks Gargobot

The 2nd chainsword was indeed for flavour and because some enemies have gangers with disarm. Meat's own strength is also still only S3 so he can use the extra punch the chainsword gives

Im also working on the mercenary gang idea that I had earlier ^^ Il show an update in the afternoon when I got something to show for it

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

As promised, I present to you my WIP pretties. My vilains for the bounty hunter games!

First up we have Deadeye. Hes a rogue sniper and a damn good one to His favorite passtime is walks on the beach and putting bullets between random peoples heads from miles away.

Then, we have The collector! This special piece of work ALSO has a hobby! He goes around town and makes friends, buys them drinks and takes them on a midnight (or should that be hivenight?) stroll to discuss his hopes and dreams. Filosophy and stuff like that. Then he chops them into pieces what he does with the parts noone knows (still have to give him a bloody apron from GS, and add some chopped up limbs to his backpack )

And finaly we have.... Well a nurgle chaos spawn. Havent decided on his name yet. His hobbies are grabbing people with his tentacles and just playing with his new toys! er...friends, yes friends...

Thoughts so far? Only deadeye is done (as his appearance is normal ) and I plan to add some touches with paint (like a 8 point star tattoo on the collectors head that he somehow manages to cover up when hes in town!) but the others I still have to sculpt some things on (guts on the chaos spawn, some more eyes/tentacles here and there and such.)

I like doing these guys just for the fun of modelling them but it would be even more to use them against the bounty hunter gang! Do you guys think I should make some more baddies?

A bounty hunting scenario, did you make that up or find it on Yakromunda/other site?

The villains are all off to some good starts. If you want more than perhaps you should try researching famous (or infamous?) criminals and serial killers for some further inspiration.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Thanks Astra Im refering to the gang of bounty hunter mini campaign that I talked about earlier. Basicly every player makes an own gang of bounty hunters, or they work together to control one gang of bounty hunters and hunt some bad guys. And when I say that I mean worse then bad, like the description on the collector and spawn made clear (I hope)

Id prefer to keep the criminals as far removed from real life as possible though. Those real life individuals arent people I want to use as inspiration of any kind...

How about Steve the blind prophet of Tzeentch (with his friends the bird people)

Angry Pete the drunken brawler whos got a bounty on his head because he put a guilder in the hospital and fled town shortly afterwards.

Snake tail Ben. The ratskin who breeds nest of mutant giant rats and other big nasties just outside the Sonera (name of the planet and its main hive were on) cheese factory. This certainly made the officials angry and they want him removed.

Those are the bounties im considering (I dident just put them up here for comedic value alone) right now. Obviously non of these bounties are alone but that doesent mean that the targets themselves are any less dangerous!

Steve would be blind only beeing able to see things within his initiative range by the eye of tzeentch. He would however also be rogue wyrd and may be followed by a pack of deamons or not. Still undecided on that.

Pete would follow the rules for stupidity (doesent roll for tests) and is followed around by a mob of people who believe this drunk is the messiah! They swarm around like a swarm of flies around a ****. the guy himself is quite harmless but getting to him would be the tricky part! He would also be subject to the hatred rule but would reroll dice every turn instead of just the first (hes not called ANGRY Pete for nothing and your trying to take his wildsnake away! )

Ben would be quite harmless though. The tons of rats that keep spawning around him arent though when you walked towards the area you passed the cheese factory and the rats are all pretty frenzied over it!

Hmmm ok so the bounties themselves dont sound that scary at all (just quirky) Do those sound like fun scenarios though?

It was only a suggestion to look into real life criminals. The concept and characters do sound fun.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

    Dont worry mate

I tend to favour cartoony and/or over the top evil-ness over downright "maniac who killed xx amount of people" although granted Deadeye and the collector dont seem to show this is the case

Also nice to renember that the vilains are walking around in 40th millenium so if they killed the amounts of people current day earth criminals did I doubt anyone would care as that number would be hardly noticable

In a regeme where the number of citizins you have doesent count but the number of worlds in your sectors they would have to steal the governor's sweet roll or piss of a guilder/inquisitor to get noticed

The inquisistion and the admech probably top off the number of people killed though. For the good of the people they kill the people themselves! That will show those evil-doers that if anyone gets to kill of humanity then it will be humanity itself damnit!

    I love this setting

Speaking of inquisitors are there rules for any? And/or space marines? Strength and toughness 4 dont seem to cut it

Ps. Dang now I have to add a ratskin, rogue psyker, angry (maybe evil) drunk and birdpeople and numerous rats to my collection... Do I ever think things through before I commit to a project?

There are rules for Space Marines apparently, but I haven't seen them. I've been told that in Necromunda they're brutal.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Im trying to arrange a game between 2 of the group. Its unclear who will show up though (as ive grown to get used to by now...) but if all goes well I should have a batrep this weekend of their battle

Game should be between them but perhaps we will make it a 1vs1vs1. I dont know yet. We will see I guess. In other news ive started work to get my gang WYSIWYG again almost done now, just needs a little paint and theyre finished ^_^

    -edit-

Also, ive worked out a Yakromunda page for the bounty hunter targets and wrote some rules for them! Would you guys like to give it a look over? heres the link: http://www.yakromunda.com/gang/print...lain-syndicate

Its a link of the print layout so I dont know if it will show for you Its the only layout that I can find that also shows typed notes though so its the most complete picture that I can create so far.

Please let me know what you guys think

Had a quick look but it seems cool so far. Good luck on getting your game in though.

Oh, and I've been told it should only be a couple of weeks before the new campaign.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Thanks for the quik look mate Do you think the bounty prices are about right? Some bounties have added risk added to them like henchmen, loyal law enforcement, thhe wyrd can get possessed etc. Ive factored all of those in

Dont want to say to much on here though as some of the group also can read it and it would spoil the suprise

Today ive reserved to repair my gang and some of my scenery, il see if I can get some updated pictures up later

Nice to hear your campaign will be starting soon as well I find this to be one of the more enjoyable game systems that ive played in a while!

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Oh man! Your right! How could I forget about those!

Ive added them as well but changed Steve's name to Carl since we already have Steve Man and I dont want to confuse people

ALso fleshed out his fluff abit more

"Carl always prays to the god emperor before he goes to bed. He was born blind but the emperor always sought to protect him from harm and tax collectors, as him mum was fond of saying. One day his saviour talked back. It was in truth Tzeentch however. They had a very interesting conversation about Gophers and the fluffyness of clouds before his saviour went back to his scheming dayjob. Ever since Carl has had frequent talks with his saviour and his powers have continued to grow. He also has gotten a ton of friends who follow him wherever he goes. He seems to particulary lucky, avoiding incoming projectiles in some bizarre manner and he has found great joy in soaring through the sky using his new found powers. He tends to get caught up in clothing lines and his "friends" tend to do trivial things like devour young children and flip over the guilders stalls, meaning they have to pick up all their goods from the floor. This all much to the dispair of the local woman who dont like their undergarments displayed for all to see (and thus all the men of the town) and together with the guilders they have put a bounty on his head"

    -edit-

I forget to ask, what do you guys think off Servitor 1643205?
