Carapace armour can be a tough call. I gave my suit to my Leader for a few reasons.

    - He was already expensive, so no issue there
    - Helps keep him in the fight so the gang can keep using his Leadership bubble
    - He was I5 so dropped to a still reasonable I3 in carapace
    - He already had a skull chip so can reroll on that lower I3
    - He's been taking a few muscle skills (Community Edition) so will likely pick up Iron Jaw in the near future. 3+ armour save... Bwahahahah

If you need some quality glue, then look for loctite super glue power-flex gel! It's great stuff and one of my friends said it's the best he's used.

If Meatgrinder is your tanking sort then maybe he should get the carapace? He sounds like he'll be in situations where it'll be really needed.

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Nah im good in terms of glue these are just left over models who dident fall apart YET when last I looked... Lo and behold, time has caught up with them

I actually own a set of all the armours my gangleader currently has a set of mesh armor that I really like as it doesent cut his horrible I3 in half 5+ save is still decent and gives me a 1/3 chance of avoiding injury (ignoring armour modifiers here though...) and Fred (grenade launcher heavy) is currently carrying the carapace armour to keep his T2 from becoming to much of an hinderance...

Your right that meat sees plenty of action hes terribly frequently not showing up due to his old battle wound though and its becoming suspect I inmagine hes always crashing in one of our two drinking holes and is drinking up the merchandise? In any case he generally needs it when hes closing the gap towards combat. In combat his skills generally keep him alive (step aside is AMAZING!) and he tends to wreck faces left and right his cost at the moment is only 65 so hes not (yet) expensive to take! he does have over 100 XP though and is a great addition to my gang The loss of 1 point in initiative wouldnt be to big in combat. Most combat monsters (not that many around in our gang but some...) are either at I2 themselves or are only 1W chars... I dont see it becoming a burden as much as it is a boon!

Ive got another ganger that I havent considered yet who could really use this armour. My sniper Duncan! With WS/BS 4, T4, W3, marksmen, hip shooting and medic hes not a ganger id like to miss. He also has a boltgun with infra red scope which means he is a huge threat on the field, not in the least meaning he gets frequently shot at! Initiative of 3 is bogus though and often when hes hit he falls down... Should I give the carapace to him? His low initiative doesent matter if he doesent get wounded right?

So gangleader, sniper or close combat lawnmower?

Hmm, tough call. Maybe you could try rotating the armour between those three and see which one it suits best?

ID:	160711For the time beeing im giving the carapace armour to Meat. The rest of the armor sets are staying put.

Today was a productive day! Working space has been created, administrative work has been shoved under the carpet to worry about another day! Im in the works of doing major repair and recovery work on the gang and its taking alot longer then I suspected

Some of the models had to be (almost) completly put together again so that means I need another day for other repair works (ruins) before I can move onto actually painting something or *gasp* making more gangers (need to make 1 or 2 to update the models to WYSWYG...) OR I could adjust one of my older ganger models (one that died) and adjust him a little so HE fits the bill...

Hmm... Much to ponder... Tomorrow pictures, now sleep!

You have NO idea how true that has proven to me in the past Did some minor repairwork on the terrein pieces but im still missing a good chunk of their bits... Wonder where I left them

In other news ive upgraded that model that I was talking about earlier Poor froggy met his end dispensing his shotgun justice to our friendly neighborhood Cawdor gang. I never altered the model yet but Grunt REALLY needed to be WYSIWYG imho as he has done me proud already, doing absolutely nothing and catching bullets and shrugging it off like its nothing my Shotgun wielding medic finaly has a model! He looks the part of grizzled shotgun veteran medic as well so If I want to use him in a guard army he looks the part

Speaking of IG.... A group of friends have been cursing for a while now that we hardly get to play games anymore... So we all decided to do a story based campaign and tie BFG and Necromunda into that Theyre all story driven however so expect to see some games with twists like stashes of guns discovered, chaos spawns taking walks through our battlefield etc.etc. in our games in the near future

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Yea, dang camera wouldnt let me get a straight image

Have since last post made a gang of Necromunda fighters out of the Dark Vengeance models (so I stripped them, cleaned them and glued them together, basicly ) and repaired 2 terrain pieces! Still need a shotgun but to my dismay found out I actually used up all my shotguns already

My phone is acting up however and I think I need to send it over for repairs.... Also seems to distort during phone calls. Guess it fell out of my hands one time to many

OH! And im starting a new job tomorrow so uh, heres me hoping it turns out well!

Shotguns are not too challenging to make. Take a Cadian lasgun and trim off the scope from the top, plus the end of the barrel. Cut out a chunk from the weapon casing large enough to fit in the forward grip from a boltgun. Gives you a decent enough pump-action shotgun. The example below is slightly different but was the only picture I had on this computer. Hopefully it'll give you some ideas at least.

With that new job you could treat yourself to a new digital camera on payday! A nice Finepix should do you well, my last two (one of which is my current one) were that type.

Catferret, that's a great shotgun tutorial!

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Buying a decent camera certainly sounds like a good idea.... Ive worked overtime every single ing day so far. An hour each day and 2.5 hours today.... Money will the least of my problems... Having time (and energy) to enjoy it on the other hand...

Might be able to schedule a game this week. Lots of uncertainties no least helped by my work draining every little bit of energy and will to live out of me... A game would certainly cheer me up though

No noteworthy update on terrain or my new gang though, but I did spray them with black primer in case I get the painting bug going. Some repair work done on my 40K and all that jazz and im looking to make a boarding action/underground network/tunnels/pipes tabletop for our 40K campaign. Ive first worked out how il store the actuall table though its required some planning. Got almost all of the problems worked out so expect an update on it soon

Off to bed... tomorrow I need to work.

    Work work, Daboo!

Heh, Warcraft reference! It's started snowing over here and I've already missed one day due to the white stuff!

I'm also in a 40K campaign currently, 750 points a side. Lost my first game vs Daemons, but it was my first time fighting them AND I was using a completely new army!

This friday should have a game against Fawful with my new cultist "gang" and his gangers. Apparently theres a shiney (chaos) relic on one of his old ruins

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

Hey Deff, sorry for the late reply. Campaign is somewhat on hold. Dennis and Niels have real life stuff that interferes and ive started using the cultist gang over my own to help our 40K campaign along

We did have a battle though where the cultists fought in. They were digging in the ground in a little rundown church in the middle of the board. Fawful had his entire gang laid out in ambush (one of the basic missions, dont recall which one...) and I had 1 group of 2 gangers who I rolled a 6 for and could setup outside of the centre of the board.

Fawful started the game by blasting my gang left and right. Aside from 3 or 4 models all were pinned and some wounded. 1 ganger with an autogun was taken out of action (and died after the game, he was shot by Fawful's sniper!) My 1st turn I managed to wound 1 of his gangers but most of my gangers were on the ground recovering.

2nd turn I got more of the same. 2nd turn I only managed to pin people.

3rd turn (or fourth) one of his gangers moved up and put a bullet through the gang leaders head (wound turned to be a result: dead) and in the turn after I pinned and wounded abit because Fawful failed to pin my entire gang last turn.

Turn after that he bottled. Had a few of his gangers wounded and I think he voluntarily bottled. He dident suffer to many wounds in the after game rolls. I had lost a gang leader and a autogun toting ganger though. But the gang of foul chaos worshipping heretics had their relic though! Who knows what they will do with it?

    Re: Demo's necromunda blog!

I think that scenario may have been called 'ambush'.
But losing two gang members on their first game, that's harsh! One house rule that I've seen used is that on a gang's first game, any injuries may be rolled for twice and you pick the one you want. Stops newbie gangs from getting crippled too early on!

Not to worry, these guys are heretic scum about to defile the emperium of man with their foul relic, no casualty is to much for them!

In all seriousness though, yea. Those casualties were pretty horendous. But im sure they will recover from their ordeal if nothing else it will make them more zealous to achieve their goal which for story telling makes it SO much more interesting
