The incense burned and its faint embers were choked by the darkness of the chamber. Many would strain their eyes to even see the orange luminescent glow but not he. Mortals had always feared the dark of the night and the pitch black of foreboding realms. All save for him, his brothers, and their lesser kind. It was where they had made their home.
As the smoke lifted from the burning vessel he cupped his hand and began to scoop the smoke in his palms. Then like one bathing himself, he would bring his hands over his head and ritually wash himself with smoke. Four times over himself he did this.
Dracuer had seen his father do this. In those rare moments of silence and solitude he would think back to his mortal childhood when he was witness to it. His father was a ganger, one of repute, and every night he would do the same ritual after waking. The bear of a man would kneel in his den with the vessel burning incense, his knife and auto-pistol lay by its sides, and he would wash himself with the smoke. Dracuer remembered the smell as it stung the nostrils but he never understood why his past father had done this.
He smiled as he thought back to this thought again. His sneer revealing to the darkness his sharpened teeth and their metallic hue. Dracuer would chuckle in the chamber as he continued his ritual devoid of reason until the alarms began to wail.

Hello everybody! So my gaming group has started BFG and I am happy because I have wanted to play this game for some time. I went with Chaos and have decided to paint them as Night Lords. I had tried to start a mixed Iron Warriors and Night Lords army some time ago that didn’t get far and the VIII Legion was next to non-existent, so this is how I am going to show them some love. Plus, that last GW thing I painted was with metallic paints and I wanted something different, so apologies to my Iron Warriors.
With this log I want to Chronicle the building of my fleet and introduce some fluff. So on with the PICS!
I will start with my Carnage, the Blood Oath
Still a PIP. The Ship was basecoated black and then it got one layer of regal blue and then drybrushed with ultramarine blue. The gold-ish area was done with tin bitz, then dwarf bronze, followed by a wash of devlan mud, and finally badab black. So far it's working for me but I was wondering if I could get the opinion of you, the viewer.
I am wondering if this passes well enough for gold? I am not a fan of the burnished or shining gold GW puts out and was surprised that this bronze comes close.
This part has been stumping me and I really wanted to get some opinions before I sat down and applied paint. I painted those bits of the ship tin bitz and having found a color for gold to use on the top portion of the ship, I was wondering what I should do about this. I do not know if I paint it gold it will look to "bling bling" or if it would be good. I was wondering if I could get some thoughts on this.
Thanks for taking a peek and thanks in advance for any suggestion to help a brother out![]()
