Pariah's Lord of the Rings

So its the new year people, time for all kinds of new projects!

This is one that I've been planning for awhile - and have finally gotten round to it! YAY!

The basic idea is that I'm going to show the log here of how I get on with the Lord of the Rings models, and then sell them.

So anyway, here's a shot of the stripped armies awaiting work (and yes, I've finally opted to include embedded photos )

Moria Goblins

Ok, so will be staring on the Goblins tomorrow. However, I would like peoples opinion on a weapon for the troll. Should I stick with the standard hammer or spear. OR use the combo I have in mind (forgive the rough editing)

So, last week was spent away shooting. However, since coming home work has been done. The goblin archers are getting done. The swordsmen are awaiting 1 or 2 moulded shields, and the spear men are awaiting spear tips. Pics will be up in the morning

So here's the goblins as they were this morning. The moulds are dying/hardening. The rest are being preped for undercoating.

*le sigh* unfortunately this week in work has meant that there hasnt been as much progress on these guys as id like... (up 0430, not finished work until 2030. LONG days)

OK, so despite the lack of updates here, work has been done. Here's the army after the first coat. BAses and models expected done within the next few days

Have made it so the spear and hammer can be swapped in and out.

OK, so the LoTR is back from the dead.....

After working out an advanced scientific formula to decide which model/set is going to be done next, the Orcs were picked as the first.

Some of these have been done from many years, so they'll get a slight colour change and details added.
Here's a pic of them as they stand.

OK, so small update. Am in the process of getting a commission for these models (for both lack of effort on my part, and to help a friend out). Will post pics when they are done.

OK, so Real-life has been a hectic mess recently.
This has lead to a re-vamp of this project. [B]I[B] will now be finishing these models. Those that have already been finished will be posted below, and the rest will follow when they are done (they are being painted in batches of 5). Hopefully this project will be finished quicker this way.
