Actually, their resin-plastic prices are constantly decreasing with each new kit, which is a good sign that the restic production process can offer some sort of bulk production savings.

I'd expect AoW to sell at roughly £15-£18 for 10 models, bit more expensive (not as insane as GW), but people won't mind if the sculpts are good, and they especially won't mind if the kit is an alternative for a GW metal or finecast kit.

I'm going to guess Chaos Chosen, not Chaos Warriors for this first kit... with the style being suitable for both, but tending toward "big, elite warriors".. something useful for either Chosen (GW only has as expensive metal) or Forsaken (GW has no models for these whatsoever).

The slayers kit was well-judged. They put a bet on high quality being the main thing that people are after, with lower prices being a secondary consideration for most.

They were right, quality is pretty much the only consideration for most, thoughts about pricing tend to only come after a person has made the decision of "do I like this or not?" If no, then the thought process stops right there, if yes, then the the "how much is it?" question kicks in right away.

    Expect something akin to Khorne:

I guess god specific chaos warriors aren't a bad idea, especially if they're done right. Just sorta a bummer with all the potential to fill in gaps in army ranges, or replace horrible older kits; I'd love either dark or high elf warriors for instance.

Oooo great, hopefully the "Khorne" warriors will be less static like the current GW - imo bland CW models - and have a lot of variation in them looks wise (see 3rd edition).

Everything should be announced this week as they said, so we should see big updates on the AOW website with hopefully what they are planning and more info on the world they are creating.

So is the resin plastic speculated to be the same as Privateer's resin plastic?

I wouldn't necessarily say Khorne specifically.

If we say that the four horsemen allusion is more in line with the chaos gods, Khorne is perhaps the most generic in that you wouldn't expect pustles, bondage gear, or flames for khorne. Yes you'll get skulls, but... meh.

The problem with a lot of variety in chaos warriors is that they still need to rank up...

Seeing as this concept sketch is labelled "Apoc - War Concept", so matching both the hint and Felix's note, I'd assume this is the closest approximation of what we're going to get. Looks more like light-armoured marauders than Warriors to me, which will probably do quite well - plenty of people (me included) think the GW Marauders are pretty sub-par, particularly their lack of armour. The opportunity to get some nice marauders in light armour would definitely be welcome.

If they can pull that off (especially if they can make them look like marauders rather than Chaos warriors with less armour) there'll be a cookie in it for them.

That is one awesome piece of concept art, looks like it lept right out of one of the old Realm of Chaos books.

Shaping up to be a great release if they stick to the older baroque armour and unhinged style of the older GW sculpts and artwork, back when the aim was to make chaos look disturbing and warped rather than the current "pseudo-vikings + skulls" look that is currently in fashion.

It's the little touches, like the engraved runes and things that make all the difference.

Here's a little more artwork. This came off of the new banner at the AoW website. I'll try and find a better/more complete pic soon.

Oh my... I really cross my fingers for new marauders. I'll definitly get them if that is the case, because I hate the GW marauders so much that I didn't even get them for my little chaos army (which now is just regular chaos warriors because of it).

I might skip the Dark Elf entirely for a while just to get up a Chaos Army with these news in mind.

I truly hope for Witch Elves soon too. I want to field two units of them of about 30, and I got 30 GW ones now that is just okay... Don't want another 30 GW witches.

This sounds great. Lovely artwork as well, I think http://www.warseer.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1326487115 is my favourite one... I'm hoping for an awesome kit!

That artwork is probably AoWs equal to Nurgle.

The AoW Apoc (Chaos) fractions are:
    - Pestilence, the corrupter of flesh (Nurgle?)
    - War, the peace breaker (Khorne?)
    - Torment, the pain bringer (Slaanesh?)
    - Death, keeper of the slain (even more skulls than GW? - is this even possible?).

Thus, if to believe the rumors and hints from Felix, the upcoming kit is War (i.e. Khorne).

    I am really thrilled.
Already planning to make a massive Chaos Marauder Horsemen-unit(s?) using upper bodies from AoW Apoc War.
The Marauder horses are the best GW have ever made - and the bearded heads of the riders are almost equally good.

Kriegschmidt: Solar panels?! Heresy! This is the Imperium - we need massive, inefficient, smoke-belching power plants that burn fossil fuels, trees and whole species of animals and turn idyllic (heretical) havens into polluted, diseased, catalogued deathworlds!
Terrain: Apocalyptic Manhattan in an apartment, Bridges over Troubled Water, Forbidden City

    Here we go.

I like them, they look much more chaotic and individual than the pretty-much-monopose GW chaos warriors.

Which of course means that they'll be a pain to rank up properly.
They do look nice, though, and I'm fairly sure I'll add a unit of these to my Chaos army.

Fantastic Squiggy , just looked on the AOW forum and looks like they are having proper pics on Tuesday, from what i can see they look gooooood

A lot better than the monopose GW ones which i have not really liked at all due to the over regimented look of them

Super awesome - as I've come to expect from AoW. Now I just have to sit and hope that one of the remaining 5 sets this year is for one of the armies I collect (or want to collect).
