Now look what I've done to a minotaur from the original Warhammer Quest box. Fortunately I have more of them :-)

Always nice to see the Barbarian painted up. Nice dark scheme too, makes him look very gritty and down to earth.
Hey Maniex, been keeping an eye on your thread, you do some great photos and nice clean paint jobs, I'm liking your heroes. The Pit Fighter is a good simple conversion I hadn't thought of, can't think why. Been looking for something to represent a pit fighter, and if I can't find a female mini suitable, I will be copying you...
Had to post just to say that Minotaur is a really cool idea, could be a fantastic chaos ogre model. Keep up the good work.
Just finished painting new Krell. Will be used as wight lord.

Ooooh Krell, I like the red in particular.
It seems like a blast to paint!![]()
Better photo:
And his master, the Lichemaster.

There are some classy paintjobs there mate! I love the minotaur conversion. The lichemaster is also brilliant! I had to comment so I get notified of any updates.
Loving the eyes on the lichemaster!
The Minotaur/Ettin/Troll conversion is brilliant. It doesn't look much like the original base model and there aren't any obvious visible 'joins'. Maybe you have a talent for it.
I like your pit fighter too - he looks gritty and 'real'. Heinrich Kemmler looks genuinely scary![]()
Thanks for all comments. I am happy to hear that you like my minis.
Now it's time for Felix Jaeger - in this case as an Imperial Noble. I've been hunting for the original miniature for some time. Still with no luck. I think the old Felix can do the job (actually you can see him in a diorama on the WQ original box).

Felix! Yes.. love this model. Lucky man for having one
I particularly like the runes on the sword. What greens are you using there?
Shas'El Tael: As far as I remember it's scaly green -> goblin green -> scorpion green. Nothing unusual :-)
Let me introduce you to another warrior, the trollslayer:

Hah! Was just prepping that model today. He's a bit big, but very Warhammer Quest original heroes scale. Love the pantaloons
And.. that would be the secret. The nice flat tone of that Goblin green adds, is what seemed curious about the runes. Haven't used that colour in years. I even remember doing base edges in that... wow.goblin green
Cheers for the info,
Tael.
Shas'El Tael: yup, there were times when all 'eavy metal minis had goblin green bases. Man, how awful was that :-)? (but also very oldschool!)
My latest conversion of another witch hunter. In fact it's a witch huntress. You could ask me why do I need more than one witch hunter warrior. I just love the whole theme of burning witches and stuff, so why not have a whole party of witch hunters. Therefore I'm in the middle of painting another two :-)

The minotaur conversion is ace ! And the trollslayer is great as well. Keep it up !
Visit and rate my fantasy log : A lot of green against a feeble mind
Models painted 2011= 45 / 2012 = 62 / 2013 = 7

Oooooh, nice. I've always quite liked that 2nd inquisitor model, but my other half really doesn't for some reason, and as she's the one who wants to play witchhunter, it's her choice in the end. Where is the top guy from? He likes a bit like Snape from Harry Potter, but gone a bit BDSM. Very cool find.
The top guy is Draegyn, The Black Bastard from the Iron Kingdoms line of miniatures from Privateer Press.
Here comes another witch hunter :-)

Love the wizard character in particular. It has been a long time since painting miniatures and I am afraid that my 43 year old eyes may not be waht they used to be when it comes to close up work. Cheers!
Witch Hunter looks like Draegyn dressed up for business![]()
