Has anyone confirmed if you can use each others wargear yet? Or even embark in other peoples transports. I dont see a Chimera Driver allowing a bunch Daemons in the back of his Chimera no matter how well housetrained they are.

I agree that it is a great idea for conversions and character, its wonderful that I can finally have some actual Plaguebearers in my Nurgle Force.

I do feel bad for Nids though. No allies. I think they should bring back the Mind Slave Parasite

I'd assume you can only use vehicles/warger of your brothers in arms.
We both read the rumour, day and night,

It seems like a great way to introduce brand new armies without a full blown codex. For Example, they could make a small Haliquin Force, models for each FOC and give them a WD update and a possible update to the Eldar and DE digital codex. So if GW wanted to experiment with new forces (a new marine faction, alien race, or even a certain stout bearded guys) without giving them a full blown codex, they can release a new ally force in a WD and a few new models.
You have a great point here. There are a lot of existing forces that could be put into say a Codex: Alliances
Ordo Malleus- Inquisitor, Stormtroopers, Henchmen Assassins. Can ally with Imperial forces as trusted, Daemons as middle level (radical force)
Ordo Xenos- Inquisitor, Stormtroopers, Henchmen, Deathwatch, Deathwatch Dreadnought. Can ally with Imperial forces as trusted, Tau, Eldar, Orks, Necrons, Dark Eldar as middle level (Radicals)
Ordo Hereticus- Inquisitor, Stormtroopers, Henchmen, Assassins. Can Ally with Sisters as trusted, Imperial forces as middle level.
Adeptus Arbites- Judge, Riot troops, Enforcers, Repressor, Leman Russ conquerer. Allies with Imperials
Adeptus Mechanicus- Magos, Combat servitors, Skitarii, Cataphractii, Knights. Middle allies with Imperials, Tau, Necrons.
Genestealer Cults- Patriarch, Hybrids, Cultists, psykers- Allies with Imperium, Tyranids.
Exodite Eldar- trusted with Eldar, Middle with Dark Eldar.

    Lots of options

I heard that Nids could ally Nids.
Not so boring as it sounds, if that's a way to get around the restrictions and bring more Elite/Heavy etc. than in the usual build you have.

Not sure this is true, seem like someone trying to get around the rules.

I don't think you can ally with yourself. Just the 2 FOC at 2K

I think that one was Tastytaste. But no, the fellow on Reddit with the rulebook confirmed you can't self-ally.

Did anyone else notice that the big rumor blogs were left entirely in the dark on 6th? It seems like they've been taking random stabs at it to try to tread water and maintain relevance. Stelek's nonexistent German leak from a week ago is my personal favorite.

Unknown for now, but given that the tau are a shooty army, yet lack any psykers, it would surprise me if they wouldn't.

Oh it works with overwatch, the Foreboding card specifically says so. The real problem is that, after having re-read the card (it's printed on page 98 of the white dwarf) it also says "the psyker and his squad" and I kind of forgot if super-friend IC's from other armies can join another army's units. If so, then yay. If not... then it loses some of it's punch for us.

Just to clarify, this image is taken from the Warhammer World Doubles Pack, the whole "brothers in arms" and whatnot are for tournament only extra rules.

Isn't this pic from a GW event some time ago rather that the new rulebook ? (of course, this would not prevent the alliance matrix from being the same, but theremight be some small differences)

Edit: ninjas are fast on warseer ... ^_^

BoW had directional wound allocation, overwatch, and CCW AP values, long before these became rumor reverb.

    This ^

Also no one as far as I have read over the past few months picked up teh digital Marine codex or even digital products. BoW seem to be the only ones who got some of the details right but by and large most have been wrong. Still - it provides good ammunition for a discussion, whether it be 1% accurate or 90% .

The reddit poster with the rulebook has already confirmed this chart is the same as the one in the rulebook. This chart also further supported by GW's ally page, which, if you compare, has the same allies in order. Tau, for example, have eldar and space marines first (brothers in arms) and chaos demons, dark eldar and sisters of battle last (unholy alliance).

While that is the case, this has been confirmed by the guy on reddit to be the same ally matrix used in 6th Edition.

Additionally, it corresponds perfectly to the GW listed allies, and the 3 subcategories those allies are listed in.

Its another example of GW hiding stuff in plain sight.

Edit: Damn, warseer Ninjas are fast!!

So then Nids can ally with each other to make the FOC a little larger this would balance Nids out a bit as they seem to have gotten hit by the nerf bat in this edition.

    For those that missed it:

    Three levels:

    battle brothers
    allies of convenience
    desperate allies

BB can join each others unit with independent chars and cast physic powers as if they were friendly. AoC cant do that. and DA have to roll at the begging of each turn if they are withing 6, if they roll a 1 they cant do anything

Indeed, but they're not getting anything any other army cannot, because all others can also exploit this.

I still get the feeling (hope) there is something, somewhere in the the pipeline which has been missed/not picked up on that will give Nids something back. GW must be aware that the latest Codex didn't exactly go down a storm, and I'd like to believe that with that in mind they would at very least not dish more hardship on their loyalists with the new edition!
