Nice painting, but some of those spears look like they're as thin as pencils!

Yes you are right. I have to replace them. Look like toothpickers![]()

I wouldn't say that you have to replace them. You could say that they are javelins.
Do you have any close ups of the models in your blog you could put up here? All of your work looks quite good.![]()

Very nice, how did you do the foliage on the bases?

Oh yes, nice idea to play them with javelins. Unfortunatly i do not have any close ups at the moment but i can make some if you want to.
@ Idle scholar
i have made it with brown sprayed steel wool and "NOCH" foliage! I will post a tutorial on my blog soon! Stay tuned![]()

You're a painting machine! How much time do you spent painting miniatures?

ThanksIt depends on the kind of miniature. Those Normanns with their chainmail are very quick to paint. One and half hour and one mini is done

Interesting... you paint the shields first. I always paint shields last. Looking very sharp despite your backwards methodology.![]()

Beautiful brushwork!
Is there any way we could get a brief tutorial on how you go about painting the shields? How are you getting the border between different colours that makes them stand out so well? How are you weathering the shields?
Where did you get the fantastic leaf foliage you are using as bushes on the bases?
And how are you painting the great red earth mix you are using on the bases?
I keep coming back to this thread![]()
