If I was in the market for (another) new army? No it would be great, give me some crazy daemon world, dark mechanicus action!
However, in the interests of taking my CSM army, with multiple berzerker squads, FW terminators, Dreads, and assorted support units with a history previously established? Yeah it would be kind of a shame to have that gone.
EDIT: If they want to give me BOTH options however in one book? Sign me up right now, i'll send my Credit Card info and we are off to the races.

Something to keep in mind for fans of the HH series is that they have the next 2 years worth of HH books already planned out, including titles, authors and release schedule (and we don't even get to the siege of terra in that time). Thats from the head of black library. With that in mind I would imagine we will finally begin to see some consistency in the CSM codex fluff from this incarnation onwards.
No not at all, thats just how I see the current crop of rumours even paying lip service to those of us with pre-existing Chaos Space Marine armies.
As for what I want? I want Codex: World Eaters
A codex world eaters, with as much variation and flexibility as the other Chapter specific codex's gets (Space Wolves, Blood Angel, etc), but thats not really in the cards is it, so we will see if the next Chaos book can have the variety and depth to allow us to get close enough...

Perfection is 2d, that would be perfection in THREE DEE! Hyper-perfection, as it were. :P
I gotta say I don't really understand this sentiment. I'm all for an all CSM list, but to me that isn't codex material, it's only a themed list that can be drafted from a codex. The idea that Codex space marines is split into 6 different books is laughable, Craftworld Eldar fit very cleanly into one book, Chaos CAN fit into one book, just never has beyond 2nd ed. We don't need books for the legions, I don't even think we need RULES for some legions. You know how I make an iron warriors list? I take lots of heavy weapons, obliterrators and play like an IW would fight, that's fluffy enough for me, as siege tactics don't really play a role in this game.
YES.
A melta to the face: if it's good enough for Huron, it's good enough for me.
Did you know I have a blog? Neither did I, but apparently it's here! I review codices, write unbalanced, childish homebrewed rules, and post articles of my painting, conversions, and writing.
Hey folks, my first ever post on Warseer so be gentle.
Only a little rumour i picked up at Warhammer World but i've heard mention that there will be a Techmarine type character, not sure if this is a SC or just a HQ choice though.
Sorry for the (almost) double post but just recalled being told that there would be a smaller demon engine that operated in a "pack" but isn't Brazen Knights. This may be studio people just throwing some falsehoods out there to mess with us but thought it worth mentioning.
Ulrik and Ragnar both hope you enjoy your delicious hat.
Are we likely to get a points drop on our basic Chaos Marine squad in the new codex or do you think some things like Asp Champ, a special weapon and a heavy weapon will be included in the basic cost of the squad, like they are for Tactical squads in the Space Marine codex?
Well the rumor is pretty vague. The highlight of "packs" could mean that they are Khorne dog sized.
In any event I was not actually referring to the rumor itself. Just the trend that seems to be forming. LOTS of Daemon engines seem to be cropping up. My statement was just an idea that I have been tossing around for a bit.
Dragon - Flyer <or possible greater daemon replacement>
This rumor - Juggernaut/steed type replacement
Dreadnought - Greater Daemon <this is really reaching because we don't even know if they are going to become Daemon engines>
As I said, just an idea I had. I mean hell the truth is we don't even know if daemon engines will even exist outside FW. None of the normal channels have mentioned them specifically. The description of the Dragon certainly sounds like one but if that is even going to be for Chaos, or even 40K, seems to be in doubt.
<no offence news guys, just hard to judge accuracy with no track record. sry =] >
