I enjoyed coming up with the poses and choosing the right heads, they all look like they have a personality already! The new guy I made today looks like he's a bit of a psycho, holding a scout's sword and pointing at someone!
The Greatswords heads fit in so well with the 40K stuff I've been using.

    Re: Into the Underhive!

I agree! Posing and putting your minis together is one of the joys of this hobby! Id almost wager a guess that GW made the kits interchangable somehow. Afterall theyre both "the empire", one is just in space

Dont get to accustomed to your characters personalities just yet though m8. Necromunda has a way of throwing a spanner in the works somehow...

Like my heavy who first had a "get off my lawn!" personality and is now more akin to an "augh my hip!" personality! And the model had an beardy old man's face from the empire range.... Almost as if the game saw it coming and dident quite agree with my take on the model

Hes (like I said) a heavy and the only advancements hes gotten so far are 2 extra attacks so in hindsight he did get the "get off my lawn" mentality.... Just not in the way that I wanted

There's a lot of interchangeability these days, but it doesn't always go to plan. I wanted to use the scout's shotgun arms on these but they were't the right size. I even had trouble putting the hand gunner's flute onto a state trooper body.

Really!? I have no idea how you managed that, I got gaps!
Casting differences maybe? I have two (metal) LotR dragons and one is cast slightly differently in a leg piece. Ok it's miscast but like I'm getting that fixed!

Hmm perhaps I used a different torso then you did?

Coming back to the scout shotguns, which part was to big? Ive always thought they would be a perfect fit but havent checked myself yet...

    Re: Into the Underhive!

It's the length between the arms, when you try and size them up to a Cadian torso, the wrist doesn't meet the hand supporting the barrel of the shotgun, it's sitting right next to it!

You may have used a different State Trooper body to me, but that's a discussion for the Ostland blog!

Oh yea I know what you mean... Though I have to say my marines have this in some areas as well.... In those cases the shoulder pad solves the problem nicely.... Anyway its nothing that a good amount of green stuff cant fix (liquid green stuff is perfect for this ^_^ )

    Re: Into the Underhive!

Today, while we were trying to get out.... they were trying to get in!

That's right, today was the Prison Break scenario! Last week brave gangers Charisma, Lotus, Pondscum and Jazz (who hadn't died thankfully, rolled her advances and she is looking marvellous) along with a bunch of other ne'er-do-wells were trying to escape Precinct 616's prison complex. Roxanne, Icepick and Titania were outside along with a lone Spyrer Orrus, a custom house gang and some Chaos Cultists were planning on trying to break into the building and spring their fellow gang members.

But the enforcer's weren't too worried about us, it was the plague zombies they were concerned with!

This game had another space hulk board tile set up annexed to a Necromunda board. There was a row of barricades with a gate separating the typical under hive terrain and a courtyard leading into the prison. The Enforcers that weren't in the building were outside.
Every turn D6 zombies would appear on the left and right hand sides of the board and try to break the barricades through sheer numbers.

Inside the cells (everyone was unarmed) were my four gangers, the custom's heavy, a Jakara and malcadon, one cultist, three random Goliath jukes and three notorious criminals. They were all randomly assigned to different cells and one juve found himself alone.
Pondscum found himself with the malcadon, a cultist, and a juve My other three girls were with the heavy, a juve, the Scavvy crime lord known as Dirty Edge Fabiano, Mad Axe Merek, a Redemptionist Zealot who hates everybody and Grimfang, a colossal Scaly!

Outside the House gang and Chaos cult exchanged shots with the Enforcers while the Cult magus and the spyrers dealt with some zombies. The Savage Domionion girls bust the gate open and darted across the courtyard. After a few turns of this they found an alcove next to the prison entrance to hunker down in and wait for support from the spyrers. However the left flank was unguarded and eventually the plague zombies broke through!

Inside the prison it was interesting. Pondscum's group headed for the storage room to liberate their gear but a lone enforcer stepped out and clobbered them all one by one, and then told that particular enforcer wasn't very good! The enforcer in the Enforcer's armoury left and began to make his way to the room where three other enforcers were barricaded in. Along the way an unarmed juve tried to stop him, but got his head kicked in. We were then told that this was a better fighter than the guy who beta up Pondscum & co.

The largest group after getting through a few doors and planning their ranks, charged in! Grimfang was spectacular, taking on two enforcers at once! One he threw across the room (hurl opponent ftw) and another he just beat to a pulp. Fabiano took out an enforcer but Mad Axe Merek got shot several times by a shotgun and was downed (3 wounds on that guy). Fabiano tried to repeat his success but got taken OOA for his trouble!
The enforcer who beat up Pondscum entered the room and found himself face to face with Grimfang! One OOA enforcer coming up!
The Orrus managed to barge his way into the prison entrance hall and took out an enforcer and his dog. Lotus ran screaming down the corridor and aided the Orrus in a fight with another enforcer and even though she hit and wounded several times, could not get past his carapace armour! Still, not bad for a WS2 frenzied ganger! The Orrus finished the job and Grimfang defeated the last Enforcer and now the prison was in our hands! At one point the heavy managed to sneak out. In reality the player (and his bro who had the chaos cult) had to be leaving soon-ish so they both bottled. At this omen it was agreed that the escapees had now gathered their equipment and were now in the entrance hall.

Now, we had to escape a courtyard that was slowly filling up with about 2D6 zombies a turn! From the prison entrance the Jakara and Orrus went left, my girls went right.
The two spyrers with their impressive stats and skills just waded through unfettered. My girls had a slightly more bumpy path.

Dashing on ahead, Lotus got attacked by a zombie while Charisma, Jazz and Titania followed up ready to take aim. Icepick and Roxanne had to run because of their low movement values. Lotus managed to smash the zombie aside and her three comrades fired into a group of zombies. Charisma's scatter shot and Titania's Heavy stubbier managed to take down two zombies. Jazz however missed!

The last remaining Goliath juve charged into a zombie that was getting a little too close for comfort. After a few turns he went down, but his job was done!

Grimfang, now allied with Savage Dominion watched the girl's backs as they fought their way through. Lotus was the first to get out, using sprint and leap to make it to safety. After a zombie attack, Icepick and Jazz got through the same gap that Lotus did earlier. With his job done (and three zombies pulverised), Grimfang followed. Titania unfortunately got taken OOA, but not before raining fire and ripping apart several zombies with her heavy stubber!
    Dakka Dakka, Mother F*cker!
Charisma was attacked, however as Xenobia's successor she was not dealt with so easily. Hacking her way through, chainsword in hand, she and Roxanne fled through the gate and to victory!

Pondscum and Titania both made full recoveries thankfully and the girls got some great exp! Charisma got two advances but ended up with quick draw as a skill. Kinda crappy for a shotgun girl but her LD is now 9!
The others for some nice stat boosts and Titania even got the inventor skill!
Sadly, I was unable to gather enough creds to hire Grimfang (he cost about 50, I only got 25, 15 of which went to Pondscum). But I suspect he may turn up next week though.
Grimfang was amazing during this game, causing fourteen wounds, taking out three enforcers (carapace armour and all) and smashing three zombies, with his bare hands! I really hope I get to use him next week.

If you thought this was a cinematic game, then next week is going to be truly something. It's the finale and Savage Dominion have now escaped prison, they will now have to escape the planet!

    But for now, Yakromunda links!-

    Re: Into the Underhive!

That game certainly was cinematic! Breaking out of a courtyard full of zombies was awesome!

I made that Yakro entry just to show off his stats, the tons of exp is just so Yakromunda doesn't say he has too many advances. Basically I made three character, gave them four advances and then chose some skills. They were all criminals who were breaking out along with the gang members.

    Re: Into the Underhive!

I got to make some up, and I'm glad I had them as otherwise breaking out of prison AND beating an Enforcer gang unarmed would've been a hell of a lot harder! Come to think of it, Grimfang really carried the team!

I have finished four more members, but my camera is out of battery! Pics soon-ish!

Yeah, batteries went while I was on a walk last weekend. Right after my second photograph too!

    The Scaly was simple-

    1. Buy off eBay (I know, eBay prices, bleh)
    2. Clean off mould lines
    3. Glue into base (it was the classic scatter cannon model)

    Easy!

    Re: Into the Underhive!

Right, on Friday I got a game in, but can't remember all the details! My new girls failed to impress and didn't even get enough exp to advance, Lotus lost a finger (WS1 on my head wound girl!), lost a friendly doc, my inventor made a Blindsnake pouch, which I sold but I got a new juve!
I also went to the rare trade chart and for the first time since new years got to have a look! I did get offered some stuff I couldn't afford (like a power fist! I'd have loved to be able to have bought it) but I did get some Mesh armour, but who to give it to? I'm thinking maybe Roxanne as she is now only T2, but has 2W. Her plasma gun makes her a good target though.

Like before, I have no idea what order these guys are in! But I grouped them up. One group is my last two gangers, one with a shotgun and another with a lasgun.
Then the other set is the "juves". I use that term loosely, as in the case of this crew (doesn't seem like a gang) they're surviving ship's staff members who have no choice but to join in on the adventures! Both of them are probably too old to be juves anyway.
The guy with the can sunder his arm is probably an ensign and the other looks like he may have been a kitchen porter or someone who did some other menial task onboard.

Your thoughts? Now I'm off to get chinese take away for dinner! Awesome!

Edit- I seem to have multiples of my pics! Only meant to put up 4!

    Re: Into the Underhive!

You got a game in? I thought the next one would be the last game of the campaign?

Im unsure how your new additions dident get any advancements though Dident Tess and Maya get to the new skills threshold? If im not mistaken Tess got an extra WS yet I dont see any advancement on Maya also why sell the blindsnake pouch? I dont have that much experience with rare gear but avoiding shots on a 4+ seems nice... Even if its just from overwatch!

Whats the fluff on your crew for the campaign exactly? Is your ship stranded or is it still in orbit? Im guessing stranded here but what do I know

Either way I like that they look different from a normal Necromunda gang but something is a little off on the shotgunner. (in my opinion ofcourse) I dont like the pointing finger combined with the headchoice it looks....off. Cant explain the vibe im getting any better im afraid. I cant tell if the juve with the knife's head is pointing alongside his pistol... Is it? Its looking like hes looking straight forward or abit to the side. If hes not perhaps it would help the pose abit more. If he is actually already doing that then my bad. Its hard to tell in the picture

My whining aside they look nice certainly dont feel like a gang at all but look like a gang of pirates/lost military vets or in this case, a rogue trader's crew

Be sure to provide some pictures on that last epic battle please? Id love to see how your board and the other players gangs look like!

    Re: Into the Underhive!

Monday's game will indeed be the finale, I just managed to find an opportunity for a bonus game! I was hoping I'd fare better in a one on one game though.

I rolled really low for the advancements! Yeah one got a bit of WS, but the other two were just like a point or two away from their next advance! I sold the pouch to make ends meet, long story short!

I haven't finalised the fluff, but I think the ship may be destroyed and the Rogue Trader (a Mr Darius Hawke) is trying to lead what's left of his bodyguards and staff off world before they're all killed! There's a war going on.

The militia body and legs I used did lean to the side a little, but I reckon he's proceeding cautiously. The cool thing about using these juves is that once they become gangers, I won't have to change the model (unless I change their weapons). It'll just be character development!
