    Resin Thundertusk / Stonehorn bases

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum as a member, altho i have been visiting for a while. since i started collecting ogres, and since the release of the Stonehorn, i have felt it needed a more scenic base to give it more character. so, due to failing in my search for one, I created my own, which i am now casting for sale. I thought this would be a good place to start since i would hope i am amongst like-minded individuals. feedback would be great, or any ideas for my next project.

I initially started by purchasing a vivarium cork tile for £6 for 30x30cm square tile. pretty cheap since i only used a tiny amount in creating the base. below are the stages i went through in creating the base

That is awesome! Where does the stonehorn sit on the base?

Also on an unrelated note is your avatar a Howling griffin terminator?

    Thanks

hi wreiro, the base has been designed so that there is enough flat space for the 3 planted feet of the stonehorn. it can be placed in a variety of positions since the flat space itself is quite large. i would generally opt for the rear left foot to be placed just above and in front of the skull. then the rest would fit accordingly.

and yes, that is my howling griffon terminator. i originally started painting howling griffons but it became a long process, so i switched to red scorpions. however, im currently concentrating on ogres!

The feet are quite close together aren't they. That is a great base. The skull is really well done.

I have a growing army of HG but they do take a while to paint!

I partially assembled my Stonehorn in order to show how it can be mounted on the base. It will fit in a variety of different positions, which is how I planned it with flat areas in just the correct place for the feet placement.

Hi, theyre £8.00, shipping to uk by 1st class recorded would be 1.50, shipping to turkey, i imagine, no more than £5.00. it is really light so i would expect probably less. if you PM me i can discuss it further
