Vassal Report 2k Necrons vs Ultramarines
So this is a practice game using a list I am working up versus net list of ultra marines. Comments regarding play on either side are welcome
Following is my Newcron list, it is geared toward high risk tactics and is more toward my play style than competitive play.

Necrons Win Roll off and take first turn
Deployment (Marines fail to seize the initiative)
Terrain Notes: Center tower BLOS completely. Terrain in the corners is area terrain that provides 4+ cover and obscures but doesn't BLOS
Necrons: Reserve 3x Immortal Squads and 1x Doomscythe; Deepstriking 1x Doomscythe. Nemesor attaches to the court and obyron to the large immortal squad.
Marines: Reserve 3x Speeder Squads and librarian attaches to squad 1

Turn 1 Necrons
Movement
Court Veils into striking distance, using chrono to reduce the scatter. Obyron follows after homing in on Nemesor. Nemesor gives Immortals tank hunter skill. Other forces advance.

Shooting
Court fires on dread and strip it of all its weapons and immobilizes it. Immortals immobilize a razorback. Destroyers stun 2x Predators.

Turn 1 Marines
Movement
Trying to be aggressive, move forward to rapid fire on court. I believe this was hoping for too much, and they should have stayed in their box.

Shooting
Gun down a squad of destroyers and knock another off of the second squad. Shooting into the court produces tons of wounds, but between chorno armor reroll and great repair rolls, nothing died. Also, no results against the monolith.

Turn 2 Necrons
Movement
The DSing Doomscythe and two immortal teams come in. Gable the Doomscythe and it pays off with a hit. Monolith pulls the third squad of immortals out of reserves.

Shooting
Court Annihilates the tac squad. Immortals take down the predator and the Doomscythe only manages to kill a razorback (even though it hit 4 tanks). Destroyers manage to keep other predator locked down.

Turn 2 Marines
Movement
1 speeder squad comes in. Try to maintain the line. Lone Razorback that lost it's squad tank shocks the court....and they break. Unfortunately only declared 6 inches because didn't expect it to work and wanted to shoot still.

Shooting
Doomscythe has to die, and it does so....but after way too many shots. Also, lone razorback drops the monolith with a well played lascannon.

Turn 3 Necrons
Movement
Court is still too close to razor and falls back further. Obyron and immortals position to make sure the razor dies this turn. Other forces continue to try to apply pressure.

Assault
Obyron has to assault with immortals to finish off the razor. With tank hunters, it is easily done.

Remaining speeders arrive. It is looking grim for necrons

Movement
Last doomscythe arrives and turbos onto the board to get the save and good positioning. Rally the court and obyrons squad keeps holding things down.

Try and reform my lines and get some good shots on the Doomscythe to try and put it down fast.

WTF!?!? Thankfully managed to destroy the Doomscythes ray, but rest of the results were saved by cover or were shake results that living metal shook off

Turn 5 Necrons
Movement
Obyron splits off to go for some juicy targets and get kill points. Court DS again and the chrono keeps them safe again, reducing a 6 + 2 scatter to a 1+2.

Court bags a speeder but not the entire squad. Same goes for the doomscythe. Immortals bag the last marine and the lone speeder for more kill points.

Movement
Speeders move flat out to get saves and stay alive. Position to kill obyron.

Again, some how obyron survives a metric ton of wounds. And only manage to stun the doomscythe 4 times.

Dread charges into the doomscythe....and some how kicks it out the sky.

Necrons scored 8 kill points
Marines scored 6 kill points
Final Thoughts
Forgot to use Nemesors phase in during the game, but not sure how much would have changed. Necron side was seeing average dice and the marine side just couldn't kill doomscythes. Overally, I am very impressed at the Necrons ability to weather ranged fire power. This game my gambles payed off, and it shows what can be gained from them. But could have just as easily bit me in the ass, tis the fun of it. I believe I might drop one unit of destroyers for some scarabs, I believe they will go a long way to back up the court and obyron.

Great match and nice way of showing a tactical view of the battle instead of pictures where you have no real idea of what;s going on. Shame about the first doomscythe only lasting 1 turn though. Congrats on the necron win, those meat bags didn't know what hit em.
