Really great bunch of chaos trolls you have here. They are very well executed, from conversion to painting, and congrats for the ranking up. I like the little names you gave them ^^

First off I wanted to say that this is a fantastic looking army. I am extremely curious as to what your base for the warshrine is also the sorc model on it.

thanks guys.... yeah there is some extreme pressure to get the rest done now, i have basically 9 days to paint the warshrine, 28 bloodletters and finish the warriors ....
Nice conversions/paint job!

I like that the cannon ball has gone through Pinchy and hit Grouchy. Cool work.
thanks for the compliments guys. I do have to say to anyone who is on the fence about starting a project like this unit..... it's a lot of work but not as "hard" as it seems. Keep a large shoe box of bits and just spend a lot of time trying to piece things together. There was not a lot of green-stuff work on these guys and to be honest it was my first time using it to this extent. The crazier the idea the better... my first idea was having a cannonball stuck in a troll ....then i thought how funny it would be if it had gone through the troll in front. I spent a lot of time thinking how i could execute it (i was going to have it through the side of the troll with ribs showing but decided that was too zombie-ish and that it would be impossible to rank the troll behind him with the cannonball in his gut in the right place)
Lovely job on the Lava bases. Not too OTT either, just very complimentary!
Has Throgg been bulked up somehow or is his base just higher? He's huge compared to the otheres, really makes him stand out!
He is combined with the daemon prince model, he has it's chest and legs. The latter giving him the added hight (although they did require some bulking up)
also his arms ....... actually to be honest the only pieces used for Throgg that were from the Troll kit were the feet, head, stomach, and three fins.
oh and Loki73 - i just wanted to say i love your trolls as well, that is one of the most original colour schemes i have seen yet![]()
Just awesome man. Keep up the good work

"just make the Base size reasonable"
go go 100mm by 100mm!
"they cannot stop the signal-!"
Really nice unit of trolls! Excellent build and painting. I would, however, consider painting the crown in a bit brighter colour to make it stand out more. It is a great piece that now disapears in the crowd.
Keep it up!
tha ks for the comment guys. I did originally have both the crown and the shoulderpads a bit brighter but it seemed too much like Throgg sat around polishing it lol. So i decided to mute it down again. It is a bit more visible in person...
So bad news is due to illness (from both of us) meant that we were not able to complete the armies or attend the tournament, however feeling better and ready to get back to the painting table.
new pics soon I hope
UPDATE TIME WITH PICS (finally)
With school done I am finally making some progress on the army and have some pics to prove it. I am in a GW tournament right now with a 3 colour minimum which against my OCD nature I am bringing the needed models to that stage or more so I can play with them. They will all end up the quality that you can see on the Trolls.
So here are two pic of the warriors as they are now (the second one has a better view of the fully done test model to show how the unit will look)
and here is a WIP pic of the Bloodleters that represent khorne marauders with great weapons in my army.
and finally an army pic such as it is. The tournament is an escalation type that increases by 500 points each month. For next month i will be finishing my warshrine, adding a chariot a caster and a unit of warhounds to what you see here for 1500 points.
