    Traitor Guard: Brigannion IV Subjugators

Yes, another IG regiment! This will be my third custom regiment and I have been wanting to do several things this time around. 1) Scratch built vehicles 2) Bad guys 3) Artillery! After much study of SDKFZ, Tinners & Jacka I have been inspired to begin working on my own mostly scratch built vehicles. I purchased chimera sides and tracks along with a few accessories to help me along the scratch building process. I have some scratch built examples for right now, still WIP as I need to add rivets and illustrate their allegiance to Chaos.

The Guardsmen for this army are again unique. I will have some WIP shots later today hopefully. I am awaiting some heads from Pig Iron Productions and I will then get a shot of them up. They use Wargames Factory Shock Trooper bodies, Kolony Feral PIP heads and I've customized their lasguns somewhat.

To begin with: Griffon! - Still WIP, the Vox on the back will eventually have a spotter calling in positions. I need to add rivets, finish some parts with greenstuff and put some chaos twang on it.

My version of a Medusa: The barrel itself is made from the Manufactorum pipes taken from the scenery piece. Again need to finish with same as above and sand down some of the greenstuff.

WIP of an infantry squad. The 2000 point list I have in mind has about 110 troops. A little over 80 of them are allocated to Platoons. The list is pure foot slogging infantry and artillery.

I will get a squad painted up soon.

Finished the majority of the Medusa. All that is remaining is some gubbins to marry it to Chaos.

For the other artillery pieces I am going to punch my rivets rather than cut them. I had a difficult time making precise cuts and as a result the process took much longer than if I had just punched them.

    Hi there!

I think you've made a good start so far. The scratch built tanks are good (but I think the enclosed fighting compartments could have been a little bigger)

Any thoughts on a colour scheme?

Again nice start, looking foward to more!

I still haven't decided on a paint scheme. Leaning towards orange or green. I have to get some of them primed and in front of me before I dive in. I have 6 artillery pieces planned so I will create larger compartments for the others.

Now the Medusa is ready for paint.

Very nice! Wargames factory shock troops with pig iron heads, but how did you customise the weaponry?
Yeah, we flew our space church across 500 light years to get to this planet taken over by the orks. Now we're going to drop from orbit in buckets and run out and shoot pistols and hit people in the head with chainsaws. Ultramarines!

I cut off all the stocks, trimmed the lasgun barrels back and all of them have a grip on the side rather than holding it like a rifle. They resemble sub-machine guns more than anything else. Picture the STEN gun from WW2 but the clip is on the bottom rather than the side.

I played around with paint schemes today and decided on one.

The shoulder opposite the chaos star is infantry platoon/squad designation. One vertical with one horizontal intersecting is First Platoon, Squad one. So on and so forth as you can imagine.

Cool paint scheme on the first mini. Was not sure on the Medusa WIP, barrel seemed too large. But then you added the chaos spike bits and boom, works for me. Cannot wait to see more vehicles.

Nice, although with the lighting I can't quite tell if he is orange/brown?

My lightbox lacks good lighting unfortunately. The orange is pretty mucky. I base coated the model white, then the cloth is macharius solar orange base then dry brushed with P3 Ember Orange, then edge highlighted with P3 Heartfire. After that I washed the cloth with Gryphonne Sepia then with Devlan mud. With better light you would see the orange.

Next scratch built will be a Basilisk, I will make the crew compartment larger this time around. Hopefully I will have some WIP of it up tonight.

WIP of the Basilisk; minor details, gap filling and rivets left to add before it is ready for paint.

This is looking really good, especially the painted trooper which has a great colour scheme yet seemingly easy enough to do for that horde of guardsmen that you got planned. The head is looking scary as ****, especially when contrasted to the pretty clean uniforms. Hope you keep to that visual aesthetic!

@BeatTheBeat: I am working on the whole squad this week so hopefully have them done by Friday or Saturday. I am going to stick to this paint scheme, the only difficulty is the bronze.

I will have a completed squad up tonight. Just need to finish the bases and paint the LEDs on the lasguns. After work I'll have a shot up. I am loving the orange color scheme. White is a good contrast for the Chaos markings.

That white is so incredibly effective, tempting to take it myself! - Inspiring looks you have there Kirth

WIP of Autocannon heavy weapon teams. More than likely I will have autocannons in the infantry squads and put missile launchers in heavy weapons squads. Anyway, here is my take on them:
