[Eternal Hatred]

Hi all, this new year I decided to finally take the plunge and start a Dark Eldar army. What followed was an order to a store and then a very impressive win on a site which is the love of wargamers. £300 pound later and I have a mountain of boxes to play with, and only half has arrived. So far this has arrived:


I'll post pics of the other bits as they arrive but while I wait I've been building and painting. I'll post pics of the built items in a later post but for now I'd like to share my first 5 wyches (there will be 50 once everything has arrived) which I finally finished last night. C&C is welcome and much appreciated.

Hello again. As promised heres a few pics of what I have built so far (apoogies for the background mess I don't have alot of space).




Also what better way to spend a day off than painting the model that made you finally take he plunge? So today I managed to paint my 1st Razorwing:

looks fine so far , but you need to put an extra layer on the blue and purple so the black base coat doesn't show , just an extra layer and you should be fine

I could never paint a massive model like that this early on in the army. I tend to save the bigger stuff for later as a motivational tool. "You can paint it when you're done with the two troops and an HQ" I say to myself. But then you did say "one of the Razorwings".

10 mandrakes
10 wracks
10 trueborn
20 warriors
40 wyches (10 blood brides)
10 scourges
10 hellions
9 reavers
5 venoms
2 raiders
2 ravagers
2 razorwings
1 (old) talos
1 cronos
lelith hesperax
with more in the post.

Got more done this week than I thought I would, so two venoms and another five wyches are done now.

Hi all, I realise it's been a while for an update but the rest of life took over. But they are finally finished, I decided on Lilith rather than a succubus, so I've got Lelith, 4 Bloodbrides and their venom finished.

Well this is unusual, and I woudn't get too used to it, but two updates in a day. These are my Incubi I've deliberatly gone with darker armour with the aim of making them more menacing. Does it work what do you guys and girls think?



Next up is 5 mandrakes, which if I'm lucky (and work don't call) may be finished tomorrow.

@xedric- thanks I like it to especialy with how simple it is to do.
Now as I said I had been busy with other aspects of life, but some of it was hobby. These are part of an ongoing commission for an acquaintance who wants an army painted to a basic wargame standard, so I thought I'd share so you know I'm not being lazy.


And now for more Dark Eldar, here's my Clawed Fiend, I've decided to wait on the beastmaster and do him with my hellions. So here he is;


So now that I'm on a roll with Dark Eldar I'm about to start my Ravager, hopefully have some pics of it soon. As always comments and criticism is much appreciated.

Well its been a very productive week this week, heres my finished ravager.

A solid start! The mandrakes stand out thus far.

Two things - The miniatures could do with a wash, it really does wonders - the skin and armoured plates especially - I'd recommend mixing whatever paint you used for the skin with dark flesh, and then watering that a bit and using it as a wash step.

After that, a highlight on raised edges would help catch the eye.

Well after a period of painting Imperials I'm back on to Dark Eldar. Archon is finished so let me know what you think.

Well I decided to be good and painted some Wyches, 20 in fact, so here they are 4 squads of 5.




Also got he Beastmaster done, what do you guys think of he skyboard design? Also do you think the skins a bit bare? So should I put a tattoo on him maybe?


And him with the Clawed Fiend.

Also got my first 5 Wracks done.

Well the scourges have been started but after seeing a flyer for Wartorn in Scarbrough I decided to enter the tournement there. So scourges are on hold while I paint up the tournement army. What do you guys think of the list? (its 1500 by the way)
