very nice dark Eldar you have here! I really like the metals (especially the gold) and the highlighting on the armour.
For the snow to look more like snow paint the surface you want to cover white. Then cover with a mix of pva and GW snow. Finally when that mix dries apply some pva and sprinkle GW snow on top. It should make your GW snow look more like proper snow

I would also paint the skin in a more light tone. Looking at the skin of your DE now it seems like the armour and skin blend instead of contrasting. Also consider using more red on your models. It would make a huge difference!

Finally consider scraping the idea of using snow bases. You are painting your models in mainly cold colours if you go for a cold themed base the models wont stand out from their bases!

I hope I didnt sound too harsh. Overall I have to say that I really like your painting. My only objection is with your complementing colour choices.

I like the tan scheme, but the blue one fits a little better. Blue sits nicely with the tan, but not necessarily with the grey too at the same time. Purple would work really well if you're not committed either way yet.

I reckon a bright pink, or lime green would give excellent pop to any tattoo on the grey skin, and compliment the blue.

I like the red glowly eyes on the helmets, but on regular eyes with the grey skin they're too undeady for me. You said you're going over them so perhaps you'll change my mind

The tan looks good, but the blue really pops, and fits in better with the rest of the scheme.

Since my conversion usually consists of grabbing bits from a Warhammer fantasy counterpart, chopping off half of it, drowning it in super glue, jamming it into the 40k model, filling the gaps with green stuff and then hoping that it stays that way the next day, I decided to do the same with Dark Eldars...obviously. Picked up some Dark Elves Corsairs for their fancy drake skin cape, it wasn't easy figuring out how the bits would fit together, but it worked out and I have my first Blaster Trueborn! Only 7 more to go...oh dear

Alright, this is a different kind of update, so the Warhammer 40k's 25th anniversary has just passed. I went to check out the Shanghai GW, the first official GW in China which opened less than a year ago. Nothing special, except uh....COSPLAYERS. Yup the store actually got people in marine and sisters of battle costumes to come, these are some really impressive costumes. Here are some pictures, enjoy

So uh, I've finalize the Wyches' color scheme, but then I had to do something with their black pants because I'm not very passionate about doing highlighting on black smooth surfaces. So...GIMMICKS, I thought those fancy checker board patterns on the Harlequins look interesting and I haven't done free-hand in a while, it'll be a great challenge. It's probably going to kill me to do this on all the wych suits(AKA 10 Wyches and 20 Hellions) but what's the harm in that eh?

We have ourselves another update, I finished a squad of Wyches, as well as a new basing scheme. Honestly they're not completely done and I might have to work on them a little more later, but it'll have to do for now. I don't know...they're far from perfect but I got all the checker boards nicely painted. I'm just happy that I'm improving. Here are a lot of pictures

Quick update, here are some WIP shots of the Archon, yeah he looks done, but I was very lazy with him so the paint-job is pretty sloppy to be honest, and the base isn't even done yet. I'll work on him a bit more when I have time.
