    Kurnagar painting log

    Hi to everyone,

I'm starting this new thread and i'm planning to post here pictures of my current modelling projects.
Currently i'm working on some Hell Dorado miniatures, so i'll start with thoses

I'll try to update frequently, depending on my progress. I hope at least a weekly update

So here are the pictures of the 4 first hell dorado miniatures i painted.
Taking good pictures seems to me as difficult as painting

From left to right : Samael, Alvarro Echevarria, André de Montbard and Georg von Holbein.

    Re: Kurnagar painting log

Instead of continuing on my "Hell Dorado marathon" i allowed myself a little distraction ...
Well, i wouldn't be a real miniature addict if i didn't run multiple project at the same time

So i painted minis for dystopian wars: some frigate of covenant of antartica and started some cruisers too. I'll take pictures of those as soon as they're finished.
Also did some iceberg to make an artic sea board. Again, pictures coming soon.

As i was browsing at some older stuff i have here and there, i dug old beastmen blisters from harlequin.
People might think these are old, not so detailed miniatures, but i kinda like their look. At least, i'm sure they'll look great once painted.
For the moment, they're just "un"bistered

Before starting, i have a lot of mould line to remove. I HATE removing mold lines but these miniatures comes with some flaws as so you can here here :

The whole space between his arm and torso is filled ...

After that i'll glue them on magnetic base and add some texture to it.

I really like your painting on the Samael that's a nice model as well!

I'm really impressed by the writing you've done in the book, I'm looking forward to seeing your other models painted.

Thanks Shush, glad you like it

So it's time for another update. I hadn't time to post anything for more than a week because i was attending all last Week-end at a small convention where i ran some dystopian war demos. So i had to prepare the table, the scenery, finish painting some ships, ...
I only managed to finish some icebergs, 8 CoA frigates and 3 cruisers.
I'm quite pleased with the result ... i think dystopian wars miniatures are just fantastic !
So here are some shots of the table:

    Re: Kurnagar painting log

Well Dystopian Ware, wasn't the only thing i did last week ...
I used some old bases i had lying around for my beastmen, removed as many mould lines as i could and undercoated them ...that's not much i know but it's still something done !

I also decided to work on "some" old skeletons with scythes i had for a long time.
For some obscure reason they were based on 25mm so i tossed them in a jar with thinner, removed the based, removed all paint.
The i glued them on 20mm magnetic bases, added some rocks and texture to the bases, undercoated them and started to paint them...

There is about 90 of them so i got some (a lot) of help from my girlfriend for the painting.

They're not finished yet, but you can already have an overview of the amount of bones that makes !

And finally i also finished some more Hell Dorado miniatures : "Pietaille des damnes" 1, 2 & 3 and Tsilla.

For tomorrow, i'l have them based and undercoated, ready to paint.

I have another project i'll be starting soon :
last week-end, during the convention where i was, a gaming club asked me for urban scenery. So i'll build some ruined buildings for them, like the ones in the tables i've shown some time ago : http://www.warseer.com/forums/showth...rrain-displays
I have some time ahead as the deadline for those buildings is june but expect to see the building process here.
If i have time, i'll try to post picture of each step of the construction along some tips on how i proceed.
    So check again soon!

In the back you can see a lot of mantic warpath miniatures but those are low priority so they won't get painted very quickly.
All unboxed helldorado miniatures are now based, and undercoated and are the ones in the front. I'll also have some tyranids lying there but these are also low priority.

I started working on the Sarasin black panther and already done the leather armor:

Also, tonight there's a painting night, we should be 6-8 peoples, so i'll try to get some pictures of what is done, and i hope to have some work finished.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the comments !

    @Lord_of_en_time: I don't play mercenaries ... for the simple reason i don't play warmachine
It's just some miniatures i painted for someone who i suppose plays mercs because more of them are coming.

@Little Joe: Yeah painting with other people is reallyu great: you can chat all evening, have some good laugh and even ask for some advices.
But above all, you get motivated, and you get work done. I'd really like to do this more often but weeks have only 7 days

So here's Magnus and 3 warjacks:

I have some plans for this table ! As i'd like to test a mixed land/naval battle for dystopian war, i plan to add more flat ice island and build some large ice bridge between them.
This way i'll be able to mix naval and land unit on the same table. Off course it won't be very "realistic" in terms of physics but my goal is to have the opportunity to have ships and tanks to interact and shoot at each other.
With this bridge system, ships would be able to sail under the bridge while tanks drive over it ... i think it can be very interesting in terms of gameplay.

Off course i'll post some pictures when this is done, but it's not my first in line project, as o don't even have land units yet but come check again
