Heresy! Would be cool to differentiate Chaos Space Marines from just being a spiky marine codex at least. Will it still be Codex: Chaos Space Marines or is the old Codex: Chaos Renegades rumour have some merit?

DA vs Chaos/LatD? Would be nice if it's true. Though that would mean they put army lists for both forces in the Starter Set...

Or that they are in a combined list... which would certainly make fluff sense!

Not back in, just lending credence to this as I know it's correct.

Much appreciated! Could you specify which parts you know are correct, to ensure no mis-communications?

    - Starter kit has DA en Chaos Space Marine
    - Chaos Space Marine to include Traitor Guard or similiar
    - Dark Angels to be the last 5e codex
    - Chaos Space Marines to be the first 6e codex

They already are "true-scale" everything else is out of scale.

This is absurd. Why would WD feature the Dark Angel cloak and release the Dark Angels in April. In april, you wont even begin to see the head of the Space Marine. I'm telling you its for the 6th edition release in August. I imagine it is going to be a half Dark Angel/half Chaos Space Marine (or fallen) picture depicting the two sides of that whole story.

    BT in March/April
DA in the boxed set with a release of rules nearby. April is NOT nearby. And IF the DA were released in APRIL, then people would buy out the DA MODELS in APRIL to play, and wholefully ignore the 6th boxed set.

    Thank you.

that might be the worst logic I have ever heard. No marine player DA included would pass up an opportunity to get a starter set with TWO marine armies in it. marine players who have been playing their army for years were still buying multiple 5th edition starter sets and that was only a single marine army. Do you have any idea how much savings someone would be getting if they can use both armies in the box?

So they could invalidate the rest of their range when it comes to compatibility? Why?

Depends on what is in the boxed set vs what is in the Release. And how much they go with DA themes and icons vs making it usable by all marines, like Black Reach. I'd guess they may go so far as to have some robed marines, but no DA icons.

Wow Im really loving the idea of having Traitor Guard back in the Chaos dex. I am wondering thou how much that would mean for the Chaos Legions rumour...If they are throwing Traitors and the likes in there the thing would start to be a hefty tome. *thinks back at 3rd edition CSM dex and all its options*.

I like his logic: it's kind of pointless to have a surprise image for something that is going to be released before the surprise is delivered.

that being said: We may buy the starter set, but they are intended for newbies, and will probably be snapfit like the previous set

    I believe this,

simply because its not the first time i have heard/seen about this. People have said this before. The same people.

I thought it was strange that we had in depth rumours of Black Templars, tau, eldar and chaos.

Especially considering that in the past we would only have rumours of the upcoming release, as apose to the next 4.

It would not suprise me if the current rumours are indeed designed to flush out 'leaks'. And with current i am not talking about the rumours in this thread.
For those of you who do not play a marine army. Thank you. You bring some spice and flavour to this hobby.

Maybe they are flushing out leaks. Altough it might as well be a hold till the jump to 6th is there. A codex isnt written in a day (ask Robert Guileman) so maybe the rumours themselves are true just waiting to be done.
