Yep same here, 3 wins on Day 1, a loss in game 4 (which we somewhat expected, we had 4 break points, somehow managed to hold on and lose through victory points though) and a win in game 5, did terrible with out secrer missions though, only 5 points out of those, 40th place overrall, very enjoyable weekened

Did reasonably well with secondary missions. One of the Reaper teams did very well.

We seemed to have the opposite luck to you guys. Utterly bombing in the first game then clawed a draw followed by 3 wins 52nd and a great time had

(We were the team with the snow covered display board, frost giant and many - a - dragon!)

"Will Orc for Food" went home with 2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw in the bag, with enough side mission points to put us above average on the overall results, with a placing in the low fourties (46th? 48th?). I'm happy with it, all things considering. Also, one of the teams the other two guys (Bjørnar and Stein Erik) played against had seen my army blog in the painting forums, so that was kind of neat. An organiser looked closely at my models and wrote my name on a list, so I think I was considered for best painted, but I didn't make the cut.

Speaking of the painting competition, it was a bit of a shame to see the same guy win this year too. Don't get me wrong, he's a great painter, but the schtick was extremely similar, both in execution and colour choice. It was almost like it was the same paintjob, just on different models, if you know what I mean. Also, I'm not a fan of the technique, it's very vibrant and eye catching, but the highlights are just way too sharp for my liking. Putting the critical-hat aside, I felt army number 7 was very nice and probably a bit underappreciated. It was the VC one with the Vargheist on the belltower, playing alongside the one painted pretty much all in spectral greens. It had a lot of very nice touches and a kinda natural, very authentic paintjob.

And the quiz was great fun, especially the model recognition questions. Kudos for the guys who won, but at the same time, I'm a little pleased we didn't do that well. "Hobby Extremists", indeed.

Great weekend... Despite 2 losses on the first day, Team Beard Patrol managed to come in a respectable 18th place due to completing plenty of missions. Star players have to be our pair of giants, pair of goblin chariots and 25pt unit of Gnoblars, who between them seemed to get more more Victory points and Battle Points than the 'hard' elements of our force.

Some brilliantly themed armies this year, the Goblin Spider Rider force was awesome winning best scenery piece too, the empire ogres were good too (they were force 4 in the painting comp) and 'savage orc alley' in game 4, where 5 of the closest 6 tables to table 29 had savage orcs on!

The events team really outdid themselves this time with possibly the best run doubles I've been to. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great weekend!
WoC Army Log, mad rambling, over-use of green stuff and bog-roll paper mache almost a guarantee! http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233046

We had an ok tournament with 2 wins and 3 losses but 11 points from secret missions which was fun. Everyone just avoided my stormvermin unit. Don't blame them though really as it always started within 6" of a tower of blood with the razor standard and queek. We were pipped to the post in the quiz by the hobby extreemists damn them!
