6th edition starter set

This is the rumour roundup of all the things concerning the 6th edition starter set.

The new edition comes this summer. Thanks to BoK we have some rumours of the supposed schedule of that time:

According to BoK, the release date looks like this:

The release schedule for 40k 2012 is…
April-May: Dark Angels/Fallen
June-Aug: 6th Ed
Oct-Nov: Chaos Space Marines

I don't know if the spine images are anything to do with DA, 6th starter or the 25th year of 40k but I do know that most of the stuff posted is correct. 6th starter does indeed feature DA and the forces of chaos, including a nice plastic chaos dread

This leaves us with the following:

• 6th edition coming June/July
• the starter box coming shortly afterwards
• Dark Angels being one of the forces featured in the box
• Chaos being the other force, including a new plastic Dread, as well as stuff apart from strictly CSM

spaint2k has posted 2 images showing leaked Chinese versions of the summary sheets for the starter set which reveal the contents.

Contents translated as follows:

Captain Balthasar: w/ Power Armour, Power Sword, Combi-Plasma, Frag & Krak grenades

Librarian Termiel (SP?): w/ Power Armour, Bolt Pistol, Force Weapon, Frag & Krak grenades

Deathwing Squad Balachar (SP?): Sergeant w/ Storm Bolter & Power Sword, 1 w/ Assault Cannon & Power Fist, 1 w/ Storm Bolter & Chainfist and 2 w/ Storm Bolter & Power Fist

Tactical Squad Raphael: Sergeant w/ Plasma Pistol & Chainsword and 9 Marines, 1 w/ Plasma Cannon, 1 w/ Plasma Gun, 7 w/ Bolters. All with Bolt Pistol and Frag & Krak grenades
