I was thinking of pre-ordering a couple of boxes of these dudes to use as Questing Knights. They look great. Has anyone else ordered them or know when they are scheduled for release?

No, but I have to add, that they look pretty awesome. Definitely going to buy a box.
Finecast is like a watch from Armani - very expensive and waterproof.

It's cool. I went and did a big search and found that they're aiming to start shipping on the 14th of February. I've ordered some. When they arrive from Italy, of all places, I'll post a review of how they fit with Brets etc. They're 28mm so I presume they should be okay.

I doubt the Fire Forge miniatures will be GW compatable as the majority of 28mm historical plastics are a lot smaller being nearer to 1/56th scale and Bob Niesmith probably sculpted the masters so they will fit with Gripping Beast and Conquest miniatures. Having said all that its no use if you have not seen the other manufacturers

I too use my Perry WOTR models as Empire troops, however their equipment fits equally well for both. And the full harness models allow for a healthy number of great weapon wielding infantry to be built cheaply. The Perrys should be releasing their WOTR cavalry soon, so depending on the look you want, you should be able to get WOTR knights to use in a Bret force soon too.

Have any of you played the games those minis go with, id be interested to know how different they play.
Nice models. I've been tempted to look into historical games for a while now, and with quite a few nice plastic kits starting to come out, I just might take the plunge. These look like some of the best so far.
They look semi-heroic scaled, depending on their size they might make excellent bretonnians. I am considering ussing normal KotR with (black) grail freehands as Grail Knights; I loathe the crapload of **** they have on their helms and such, these Teutonic Knights have a nice, plain look.
Maybe I am not understanding you query, but Fireforge Games, Gripping Beast, and Perry really does not produce a game that goes with the mini's as GW produces Warhammer for their miniatures. They are just a manufacturer of historical miniatures, and you find the game that you want to play with them.
Well if they're semi-heroic scale they won't stand out too much and as a unit on their own they'll be even better. I ordered two boxes anyway which according to the specs is enough to assemble twenty four knights. Even if they're a little off scale the weapons could be snipped off at the wrist and used with GW knights at a pinch. You can never have enough morning stars or great big battle axes.
