That blue is beautiful. I've always liked UMs in that darker shade. Great work

    Re: XIII Legion

Soooo no sevrin loth or bolters today, But i was suprised to find my first contemptor in the mail Fiizzzzzzzz. So while my son was being a good boy sleeping i put him together. Still missing the plasma arm or him but i may magnetize that arm so i can change it out. Boy is there alot of detail ( and pices ) stuck my fingers together a few times and found my self breaking joints to reposition. Im some what happy with the pose, his strollin along and spots something and points it out to his buddies. Base coat of tamiya grey primer and blue wash is done.

    Blocking in the colours now

    I picked this

Up today to convert the Master of the Arsenal mini. Going to give him a MK III helmet head and swap out the powerfist. Not sure about the sword may swap that out as well.

I have decided to swap out sevrins head with this

I have also secured a Sqd of the rare Custodes miniatures and a 2nd Ed Land Speeder, so stay tuned and as always questions, comments, queries and dramas are welcome.

Photo dump. Almost finished just need to touch up a few spots here and there, then apply the water effect. Thoughts?

Nice looking army. I am a huge fan of the kabuki models. They make great representations for certain unmodeled characters. I personally own KOL1 - KOL5. Painting looks good. I really like your bases. They look great! The contemptor looks really good. I love this model. What did you use to get the "U" icons on Gulliman?

Thanks mate, im a big fan of kabuki models as well i do feel the heads let them down though. The U symbols are all FW brass etch, i find it pretty fiddly to work with and i wish the pices were a little deeper as its almost paper thin.

Brilliant! Well I will have to get some of those for my primarchs! I totally agree that the heads are a let down. The only heads I have kept on mine are the ones that cannot be removed, like Fulgrim, but his is rather good. Great idea with the BA head for Guilliman. I think that it works well. What's next?

The commander and command squad are gorgeous! I love the banner, that must have taken a lot of time!?

I think the time on the primarch model really shows, it is a lovely centrepiece for collection

Thanks, the white is a right bugger. Im using vallejo wolf grey for the main colour and then pure white for the high lights.
Look forward to seeing your crusade smurfs, we can bounce ideas of each other.
