So, should we know about March releases at the end of this week or during the next one??
Aren't WD pics usually posted one week before WD launch??

That'd put it out before the film, I'd say Jan is much more likely for that.

The game will be out before the film is released (as the original LOTR games were), in late November.

I trust them more than most, but even their tidbits have been vague on this. We have also been hearing about a second wave for Tyranids since Christmas 2010.

I'm willing to bet something is coming, but my Wood Elves comment was to suggest that it could happen going forward, not that we were in the midst of it. Besides, the Warriors and Gaunts are circa 3rd ed, on the old sprue style with tons of wasted space and bad mold lines. The former needing not only a refresh, but an additional sprue just to cover their options adequately.

Anyway, that's not important. I'm sure if something comes soon, it will be sexy.
Well the tyrant is back to being "no longer available" so who knows. I agree Harry and Hastings very occasionally get it wrong - I remember Harry talking about new plastic spear elves with their new book at the time, they didn't appear- they where the Lothern Seaguard from Island of Blood.. BUT both of them being wrong with the same thing doesn't happen so I'd be pretty optimistic. With regards to a gaunts and warriors redo I reckon they'd do that for a new codex in the future? They've held up very well but as you say would do well with a refresh, they both have options missing and it would be great to see what they could do with them with the new plastic tech.
Still as Darnok says should only have a week or so to wait for more solid news/pics.

I don't place too much stock in what the website says is available or not. That changes all the time, and glitches are not unheard of in a site and database as complex as an online store or GW's size.

Tyrant hasn't been available for months now in the US store. I know, i've been considering tyranids as an army for a long time.

GW website an be very wonky at times. They set me my wishlist by accident once. It took a couple of days convincing my wife I didn't buy all that stuff

The Tyrant 'glitching' in so many different ways (from being listed as 'not available' to not being listed at all, depending on location), just when there's talk about a possible new model coming in the next few months would be a pretty big coincidence though.

Of course it is. I keep forgetting.

So that would make just a single codex this year a reasonable possibility. In which case Chaos in the summer makes a lot more sense.

    Re: The early bird...

Just a heads up. I live in Maryland where there are a plethora of Games Workshops. That said, I went in to the closest store last week, and they had no Tyrant. I had them call all GW which were close to my local (5 of them) and none of them had any of the finecast models. The only store with a Tyrant had an old metal one. I asked the store manager when they'd expect to get more, and he said that its been listed as needed for weeks, and that they should have gotten one weeks ago with other shipments. I understand website issues, but if the stores are having this much trouble getting them in stock it either means that the mold broke, and they aren't fixing it, or they are releasing something new to replace it.

Could that fall into the legal issues with Chapter House?

I think that something coming down from the site and not replaced within 4-7 days and corresponds with current rumors is at least supporting evidence of the validity of those rumors. Mind you, the site has its share of bugs, so an item disappearing suddenly does not justify massive rumors or speculation. It all depends on context.
1222. It's a stranglehold. Not an Ogryn neck pinch.
1395. Eldar really hate it when you greet them with "Live long and prosper".
1537. My Rogue Trader does not need to announce his arrival with eight hours of orbital bombardment.
1572. The Navigator has Warp Sight. Not Insane-o-Vision.
1594. Flak armor is not just a muscle shirt with the word "ARMOR" stenciled on it.

It is a strong case. The Tyrant did pop back up on the UK site for a while, and it took some time before it was down from any site other than the US store. I am certainly hoping for a new plastic one. Until then... anyone looking for the metal one?

All i want is a few tervigons and the possibility of boneswords for warriors and such like, even if they are just a conversion kit.

GW just put that picture up on their facebook and now I can't find it anymore, it is still up on their Flikr account at the moment... Can anyone tell me what the Nid thing with all the things coming out of its head just to the lright of the question mark is? I can't find any model that looks like it in their model range or on forgeworld. New Nid model hidden in plain sight?

Its not a model i've seen on sale before or recognise.

Could be a conversion, but it could also be the Doom!
