It's a Zoanthrope conversion with spines of the Mawloc glued to its face. Probably used for a Doom of Malan'tai.
It looks like they put larger claw/arms on it as well if it is just a Zoanthrope.
Also what might be in the box with the 25th anniversary and the question mark on? I assume its a box, could be a book though.
Oh Pyrovore, you're like the Eeyore of 40K
Looks like a book. Thats the hint i think. The minis just provide cover.
cya
The book in the top-right has the following title: Warhammer 40.000 - 25. The cover drawing is a large question mark.
And in front of the nids, I read 6 ° Edition 2012...
It is the book of the new edition?
It's possibly a conversion, then again, i've never seen a zoanthrope with a set of scything talons that big.
Here are a couple of similair conversions for comparison:

Slap some scything talons on that and a different paint job and you've got model.
Do you think it is possible to edit the picture via photoshop or a similar tool to make the little signs readable?
Anyone else read the text under the '6th edition - 2012- as 'Change is coming...'? Either that or 'Oranje is Darning' which seems less likely.

lol, it was a local stores 25th anniversary display.
Even if all it is is a local store's display, the fact is that someone at GW put it up on their facebook feed without a second thought to the "6th ed." until they quickly realized they were tipping their hand too early. lol

Interesting find. My guess is that it's a converted Zoanthrope for the Doom of Malantai.
If it was on their flicker page, then it's probably a personal collection. This person has been collecting for a while, but I don't think he has any direct connection to GW HQ.
1222. It's a stranglehold. Not an Ogryn neck pinch.
1395. Eldar really hate it when you greet them with "Live long and prosper".
1537. My Rogue Trader does not need to announce his arrival with eight hours of orbital bombardment.
1572. The Navigator has Warp Sight. Not Insane-o-Vision.
1594. Flak armor is not just a muscle shirt with the word "ARMOR" stenciled on it.
looks like the thing 6th book is shrink wraped? Could be a secret expansion or book release on the 25th?
I think it might just be a 5th ed book with a printed sheet of paper (the question mark bit) stuck on the front.
