Thanks for all the positive feedback! Alas, my plans for some more painting today have failed due to a horrible back acheI will have a second Hellsteed riding Vampiress for you to see very soon though! I've made some progress on my first Hellsteed lady, the blending on the dress is much smoother and I've made a start on the skin, going for super pale, although I'm still unsure what colour to paint the horse - any ideas?
@Confessor_Atol: The orange has a strong undercoat of Dark Flesh with a touch of Bestial Brown to bring out the orange colours, I just added Blazing Orange to highlight, then added a bit of Bleached Bone (or possibly Bubonic Brown, I forget) to pick out the strands of fur. I remember really taking my time to layer up the paint on her to get it 'ginger' without being too orange.
@azhagmorglum: I'll get to work on some army shots, I did have some of my Lizards, my most complete army - but is anything ever complete?! As for the Terrorgeist, I really wanted to stay away from the fresh corpse look, which is why I didnt add any dripping blood - perhaps I should, I've developed quite a nice 'blood mix' and it would certainly help cover some of the larger patches of colour.
@Symrivven: Hope you dont mind me saying but it gives me a lot of hope knowing you have 'hidden' paint schemes under your work! There is hope for the poor Terrorgeist yet! I shall revisit him soon I think. Thanks for having a look![]()

. I also really like what you did to the coven throne, and the way you used the vampiresses. I gave one of the vampiresses a steed and was surprised how well her skirt fitted alongside the horse.
