I feel your reds would benefit from an edge highlight, particularly on the armour, to really make it pop. Would make a big difference I think

Thanks guys, it's going to be slow since I'm purposefully restraining myself (1-2 models painted per day) but I'm having fun.

@HereBeDragons - You are absolutely correct, so far these are with just Scab Red + Badab Black wash, I still need to do the fine detail with some Red Gore and Blood Red. I'm thinking the Gore dry brushed and the Blood Red on the edges.

Nice painting. I like the really deep red. Shooting through the magnifying glass seems to have worked okay.

No painting today, I got the parts in for my giant and decided to get to work on the conversions. With the filler finished, I'll be able to focus on the Marauders. Statistically speaking, it's a block of 50 (in horde formation) with Great Weapons and Mark of Khorne. Though in reality, there's actually 2 converted Ogres, 1 Giant, and 38 total Marauders, 2 of which have spears instead of Great Weapons (they're there to motivate the Giant. I can't wait to see this unit painted.

Okay, I lied - I did get some painting in today... A unit of Warhounds just about ready to go. they need some blood and I've got to finish their movement tray.

Nice painting on the warhounds. I like the extra details, the sword and the skeleton, on the bases. The marauder unit looks interesting. The fillers break up the uniformity nicely. I look forward to seeing them painted.

Couldn't sleep, so I decided to play around and knock out a second unit of Warhounds. I think they turned out good, I'll fix up their movement trays this week and finish the third unit.

Busy day today, but I'm staying on schedule. I got a couple of warriors painted for my Tzeentch unit, and I even tossed together a movement tray for them. First time I've really textured a tray but turned out nicely imo.

Unfortunately, I'm low on some key paints. Good news is I've got some eBay auctions clearing that should fix the situation quickly. That also means I should be getting the parts for my Warshrines and display board this week. I also have a few new ideas I may be putting together sooner rather than later, but I'll keep that hush till I know for sure...

Just placed an order for some new toys, two Corpse Carts and a unit of Bloodcrushers of Khorne, 350 Skulls (thanks eBay), the Temple of Skulls terrain piece, a Battle Foam X Board and some other assorted things. Expect some interesting developments with the army soon.

Started working on my Marauder block, honestly it's just an excuse to paint a giant.



If all goes well I should have the giant and his handlers finished tomorrow.

Nice WIP of the giant. Are you considering using the giant as a "giant" and not just a unit filler? Its an awesome idea for a unit filler but it seems almost too good to remain an over-fed marauder
