The weathering on your Leman Russ is really, really good. Infantry is looking great as well, nice scheme that is painted neatly. Always good to see FW models getting the paintjobs they deserve!

    Keep it up,

    small update for now.
Although I've worked 70 hours this week, I've been able to finish the Lascannons Heavy Weapen team .

The 1st Platoon turned out really nice and I am happy with them.

Now wait briefly until the reserves arrived.
    Meanwhile, some photographs update

    thank you for watching

First off that's a brilliant looking army shot, really captures that Krieg vibe with the Comissar riding round the back of the lines to keep order! Paint jobs really good on these as well, very unique. My only comments would be the bases on the heavy teams could do with a bit of 'something', particularly the crew pulling the lascannon into place. A couple of muddy water pools here and there maybe? Great blog though, keep it up!

I love the bases you have done for the deathriders!

U were saying about the bases being too light why not try a very light wash over the top? will darken them back down?

Very nice paint jobs so far tho keep up the good work!

Death Korp's are my lottery win army =p

    Thank you Sirs!
I like to think of my army in the Krieg hostile environment, but in between the heavy thunderstorms which causing the mud pools.
Due to the volcanic surface and the trenches the water runs away in just a few minutes.

this is how it should look, Sulfur waste lands with black volcano rocks.
And maybe that is what it is Inandantia, I need to add some sized rocks!

Thank you for watching and your suggestions

Re: Magotīs 231st Regiment Death Korps of Krieg

    Hello,
After 6 weeks of hard work, no free time, no hobby activities, Iīll pick up the paint job of my 231st

At the moment I am still working on the 10 Grenadiers and a heavy weapon team with heavy flamer. (see above)

inbetween or simultaniously wathever, I made the 1st rapier of a unit of 3.

What I donīt like is the size of the Imperial Guard shoulder pad.
I used a DKOK guy and used the arms of the Guard holding the Joystick and the handle of the targetting screen.
and than to think that I already filed the shoulder pad smaller, but not enough. I must have somewere an DKOK arm with binoculairs that will go on the 2nd one and for the 3rd I am still thinking.
(I perhaps will file down them further more.... :-/ )
(or just only use the IG hands on DKOK arms..... :-/ )

another thing is the use of the decal. (first time I used them).
I am a little disapointed that the transparent surrounding is still visible after I applied it according to what you read on the internet.
    1. applied gloss varnish
    2. applied Micro Set from Microscale
    3. applied Micro Sol from Microscale
    4. give it a good time to dry
    5. applied a layer of anti shine from army painter
However, have a look at the last pic, which shows why I am a little irritated on this one.

    This is how it looks:

Apply gloss after you have applied the decal, then dull it. You need the gloss to fill around the decal and make the edges disappear.

Those are gorgeous mate. Is it the clear edge on the transfers you're annoyed by? If so, then I always trim off the clear edges with a scalpel while the transfer is on its backing paper prior to soaking.

    Game over man. Game over.

I love your colors. Refreshing to see a none grey army.to bad you didn't use a regiment from the decal list or I'd send you 4 sheets worth or your number. You base for the mounted commissar turned out great. I cheated and ordered all mine from dragon forge. Wish I had caught one of the mounted commissars.

Really nice earthy tones you've got here. They fit the Kreig models.
Nice one on getting hold of the mounted commissar. And really nice to see one being painted too!
Weathering on the Demolisher and Rapiers is also very nice.

Really cool army. Great job on the tank. The commisssar looks very nice. What is this white stuff you used for his base ?

I get what you want to achieve with the base color, but I think the models would look a little bit better when there was more contrast between them and the base. What I mean is that they have brownish coats, and the bases are brownish too.
You could try to paint the edges of your bases black, or at least a very dark brown. This could bring some contrast. Maybe you hate blackend base edges (there are some people who do) than just forget my suggestion

Anyways, great army and I hope to see more updates soon.

thanks Mechanicore for the kind comments, and there is nothing wrong with the dragon forge bases, I use them as an inspiration

Kublai, the white stuff is an Acrylic Gel Medium from Golden Gel Mediums, I use the Coarse Pumice Gel.
I see what you mean about the base color and no I am not against a contrast color on the base edge, actually I am very happy with your suggestion.
It always helps if sombody else has a look at your work with a fresh eye. I will put up some pics later today.

    Hi,

I give Kublaiīs suggestion to change the color of the base edge into black instead of graveyard earth a try and I must say that Iīm quite happy with it.
    again Thanks Kublai.

What do you guys think ?

I will give scorched brown also a change, but probable stick to the black.
