What replacment? Do you mean the werewolf that sucks up (no pun intended) to the vamps? I took him to be a possible mentor/antagonist for Tom, who will allow his to grow as a character in a way that Mc Nair or his other friends can't.
Good season overall and possibly stronger than the last one. It had comedy in it as well, which was a nice change to all the doom and gloom the series has been dealing with.
