It's too much Scandinavian new age gift shop for my taste.

I really like it but I can't really afford it. It's got bits of various real-world lizard worked into the design and eight legs without looking crowded.

Some gift-shop dragons are nicely sculpted too, actually.

We have the same sentiments. You just say it much more eloquently. My basilisk is en route!

If the gift shops in Scandinavia sell things of the same quality, please do share links if they have websites. I knew you'd hate it it has a scenic base!

I like it! I have been pretty impressed with the monsters FW are churning out in preparation for Monstrous Arcana. I can definitely see myself getting one of these.

Will probably paint it up like http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hdfXeIiTWK...art+Frog1.jpeg or similar- that way it screams 'POISON' and also fits in with my Averland army

Its head looks a bit odd but the rest of it is very nice.

I'm a little undecided about it. One minute I like it the next I don't. I do think it's going to be on my shopping list for this year though, Dark Elves are supposed to herd them like Hydrae so would be a shame not to include a one in my army

It looks decent, could use it as an alternate for a carnosaur perhaps?

Its bigger than I pictured a basilisk being otherwise its fine. I won't be buying it, I can't imagine an undead army using one..You'd think they'd make a dark elf section and put it there but I guess not, then again WF doesn't have an ogre section for their ogre models. I just think they're the only army it would look right in, fluff wise it seems a little malevolent for lizardmen.

Would fit fine with chaos too, I think.

What worse than salamanders, I mean those things are likely to eat their own handlers as attack the enemy.

I think it would work well in a wood elf army. Green dragons, green basilisks, and other denizens of the woods being controlled by wood elves is a great thematic scheme that is utilized by Magic: The Gathering and MANY other fantasy based genres. Better than that, wood elves aren't known for having a unit that is great against a horde. The basilisk would augment the list well.

The only thing making me hold off on buying one right now is wanting to wait and see how the other elementals turn out. Shadow and metal, especially.

So capture it and send it at their enemies instead!

If I had a lot of money I'd probably own each of the WF monsters.

It certainly is an interesting take on a Basilisk! I like it...wouldn't necessarily buy it, but I like!
