    Space Marine Dominion Fleet

I've got a pretty nifty Chaos fleet going and I'm looking for a decent Marine fleet to represent a Deathwatch force now.
How does this look using the Dominion Fleet list? I play against Orks, Marines, Nids and soon Tau. The idea, I guess is to spam ordnance while the enemy comes at me, hopefully scatter his fleet with torpedoes and the nova cannon and try to pick the ships off one by one. Not sure if the Mars is a little on the pricey side with all the upgrades though...

    Capital Ships:
Mars Class Cruiser; Master of the Fleet, Terminator Boarding Party, 1 Re-roll
    395pts

Strike Cruiser; Replace Launch Bays with Torpedoes.
    145pts

    Strike Cruiser
    145pts

    Escorts:
    3 Cobras
    105pts

As previoiusly stated, buy the extra shields for your SCs. They really, really need them to fight against medium cruisers.

Replacing the launch bays with torpedos is a terrible idea. LBs are far more useful and versatile than TTs, and can potentially put out more damage.

I also think the Terminator boarding parties are kind of a waste of points.

Scattering an opposing enemy fleet wt ordnance basically isn't going to work. Torps especially are generally to easy to avoid if you're volleying them at long range. If you're trying to use torps and attack craft to engage an opponent at range, he probably won't have much trouble evading the torps and knocking down the attack craft, as he'll have little else to shoot at till the distance closes. I find torps and attack craft work best if they don't actually have to spend any time on the table - if you launch them from within the range they can cross in 1 turn.

Also, organize your torp escorts in squadrons of 4 instead of squadrons of 3. That way, they can absorb a casualty before their torp volley gets too small to be worth bothering about.

    Re: Space Marine Dominion Fleet

Torpedoes are pretty easy to hit with if your doing it the right way OR shotgunning them also renember that a possible torpedo target can force an opponent to spread his fleet up or make movement choices that hed rather not make, which in itself is priceless to a good admiral

I thought you were using the list that dident have the shield upgrades... If your running the one that has them defenitly take them! Take out 1 of the cobras and take them, youll be thankfull you did so
