Very nice CCW! I wonder if the Revenant would look foolish in a martial arts pose, such as in Chinese swordplay, lashing out with the blade?

    Thanks again for the comments.

Sildani, I actually played with the idea of a one leg in the air kind of martial arts pose but just couldnt make it work. Ive gone for a charging pose.

I have a feeling most people will end up asking me to use it as a normal pulsar after a game with it running at full speed cutting down titans. But I'll see how it goes.

I thought I would mention that (after waiting for days for good weather) Ive put down some sheets and newspaper and got airbrushing in my bathroom. So there is some blue/turquoise appearing on the titan.

Afternoon all. Im getting close to finished on the base coating and I was wondering what the opinions are on the holo-fin. At the moment Ive gone up to a light green but Im wondering if I should go all the way to white.

    What do you think?

If you can continue that blend that smoothly then I say go for it and let that holo fin really pop!

Koran....this thread is full of win. Keep doing what you are doing!!!! Did it take long to learn how to use the airbrush? What kind of army list do you plan on using? Oh...and I think you should go all the way white.

    Thanks mate.

It didnt take that long to use an airbrush, a bit of playing around to get the basics and then few tank sized models before I got to where I am now. It was learning how to clean it properly that took the time It would have been a lot quicker if I had someone to show me but I had to go off web articles. It was quite an investment (which is what seems to put people off) but I think it was well worth it. Ive always hated the basecoating and first few highlighting layers part of painting models as they dont require much skill and take a lot of time. My airbrush has really allowed me to focus on the fun parts of model painting again!

As for the army list I have no idea. I didnt think there was too much point making a firm list at this point, what with rumours of a new codex and the new game around the corner. But the focus will be on wraithguard (counts as) for at least one troops choice and a lot of D-tech weapons (so warp hunters for heavy support).

The white is now done. I just need to get my camera back.

    Stunning work!

What colors are you using for the blue/green/purple effect?

@ Bael: The colours are vallejo french blue (air colour), through to emerald (model colour) and then to green sky (model colour) on the highest points.

Managed to get a pic of the newly white-ed fins:

Ive started on the rune freehand now (which is slowly destroying my mind!!)

Koran, loving the concept and the paintwork, look forward to more!

Here's the best air-brushing tutorial for using and cleaning I've come across on the web: http://fichtenfoo.net/blog/airbrush-tutorial-flash/#

Awesome paintjob, Koran. Did you paint the runes on the Titan's armour plate free hand or did you use a stencil?

Freehand. I just put down a straight line with masking tape so it is all level.

The painting competition went well. I won despite some really steep competition so I was really happy with that.

Ive got the freehand mostly finished now, so Im pretty happy with that. Here's the jet packs so you can take a look.

No problem. It might be a while as I have to finish the titan and then get something (though I do have another warp hunter laying around).

Ive just managed to finish all the jem stones (that took a while!) though I cant decide if I should do the ones on the top of the jet pack. Any opinions?

Other than battle damage Im mostly done (though I can see that taking a while) and I need to get the base done.

Here's a couple of pics of the close combat weapon:
