Well done mate, a very professional job.
I'm genuinely impressed with this. I have a couple of niggles but shall not bother you with them after producing something like this so I'll leave it as well done.
This is pretty cool; though, I do feel the unit choices need some editing. The Bee Swarm and Housewives are fantastic unit concepts, but as a whole there are just too many choices, too many nuances of halfling society represented.
Or so I feel, anyway.
Brilliant! Very creative, and just plain awesome.
I salute you!

mi ritrovai per una selva oscura,
ché la diritta via era smarrita.

I find it amazing that for such a peaceful, non-warlike people, everything that Halflings do seems to have a practical application in warfare.
It's really "too much." Units like Housewives just add to the silliness.
Oh, and for the record, the Thief concept needs a lot of work. Stealing magic items just doesn't really make them work. Stealing the weapons out of a character's hands? That's just silly.
Smashing, loads of fun to read, thank you very much. I will be downloading it then spending months thinking about how I can make an army. May your feet remain forever hairy.
Looking very good. Nice sketches and good text. The rules are also very interesting for playing. Though their stats are a bit too high, such as movement, which i believe is better at 3 and leadership maybe at 9 maximum, such as with bretonnians.
Not bad - a lot of work and effort - and considering there is no actual dedicated team that is paid to do the work, it's a real labor of love!!
I liked a lot of things:
1) Background - there was a LOT of background reading, some of it was a bit 'role play' kind of reading, but that's just a personal preference of what kind of fluff I like to read - owt is better than nowt!!! Only thing I didn't like was the timeline reference to some halfling whose a bloodbowl champ - I think references to bloodbowl should be kept out as it's an alternate setting within Warhammer
2) Generic army rules - In theory quite good - in practice it would be a pain in the bum trying to remember what each unit has - I would need to make a TON of counters to enable me a fighting chance to remember them!!
3) magic - good concept, though with one good magic phase you end up with some mean halflings!! synergy has potential to be horrific!!!
4) Unit selection - Pff to those who say there are too many units!! I have Empire & Orcs & Goblins (and had Skaven) and there is no such thing!!! However there is an over abundance of special rules for units - again making this army a pain to manage during a game - yet alone for my poor opponent!!
Some of the special rules also need some revamping - like the thieves for instance.
Bur overall a very decent 1st release for the book -shame i don't know were to get the models from!!
Love the book.
It made me start a halfling army, that my friends are nice enough to let me use.
So far 6 games, 5 losses and a tie.
Also had 3 2vs2 games and with something to hide behind it has got me 3 wins.
The only unit i have stayed away from is the thieves.
To many units? No, after a few games i now remember most of the rules from all the units
