He may not have got everything right but certainly some of the stuff he talked about is happening.
Contingent rumors!?! I love the contingent rumors and wish at least araby is true. Thanks for providing us rumors and clarifications Harry.

Interesting. It does seam like some people try and go for a a lucky rumor shot here and there by making educated guesses (reading fluff, checking verse existing army books etc), but Harry of course can spot things we have not seen. If I recall Ghost's claims to fame were nameing Dragon Mages and Dreadfleet. Both of which would be hard to pull out of a hat. There are lots of reasons why other information can be spoty, but once you've been around for awhile, you get pretty suspicous when volumns of detailed stuff get floated. One its a good way to burn your source and get somebody fire, two, people who float that stuff know very well how things can change and are inherantly reluctant to spit too much out.

I will say if Phantomtie hits these rumors he will be elevated to epic status. Those are some very gutsy calls layed out in a very credible fashion(thanks!) It almost makes me want to bring back my Contingent Summary thread . But there do seam to be some marked differences. That thread was 95% Ghost, with a few chime ins that could be attributed to circular rumors and/or fluff-guessing. He did not refer to forgeworld at all and stated white dwarf lists would show up in the beginning of 2012. It was a very specific set of rumors, and thus created a lot of controversy. One other person (Mirbeau? ) noted Araby scultps were done a while ago, which could support this rumor as well. Anyone have any ideas when we can expect a forgeworld book after Monsterous Arcana?

Am I the only one who thinks that their ears look a little strange? Especially if you compare them the the cyberwolf's, which ironically look completely normal...

It's not just you. Both the ears and the eyes (they kind of have that OMG!!! look to them). Still, they're boatloads better than the last wolves, especially with those flimsy tails. I'll be upgrading mine with the Fenrisian boxes soon.

Harry. You should tell us all what is true about what ghost said. I'll go out on a limb and say the return of Koslev is most likely true, they're mentioned in the fluff often and if I recall their return was mentioned in the empire rumor thread. Araby appearing in dreadfleet and another user mentioning sculpts for them leads me to believe that's somewhat true as well.

You've joined last month, so I assume you're new, and not just a lurker who finally jumped the boat: when Harry gives out a rumor, even though it is a rumor, it is pretty much confirmed, I suppose you've gathered that much. Excepted he was asked to stop posting them, so instead he's giving out cryptic comments (which is way more frustrating, but it's very fun to watch everybody trying to figure out what he means). In short, his confirmation that at least some of Ghost's rumors are true is the best you're going to get from him. Now try and guess what's true

I vote that everything is true I'll add the salt later

Ha, I really do hope this is all true (hope I wasn't too rude in my earlier post?). It'll be interesting to see which come out first, GW or Forgeworld wolf riders. I'm sure some would be tempted to use Forgeworld hobgoblins as proxies if they're first.

I'd love to know two things about the hobgoblin artwork. If they're skinny (unlike the shrot, blocky current common gobbos) and of they have hair like the 3rd ed/earlier hobgoblins. I'm sure we'll see soon enough.

I thought the same, but looking at the close-ups online, it almost looks like the weird "swirl" and "hole" effect is largely painted on. If not, I might greenstuff a little fur over it.

If they need to use the GW wolves, obviously the FW hobgobs will come after

Not sure I understand why? The wolves exist already, and are already for sale. If it's a case of being concerned the two will clash, then I'd assume they would make them miles apart, rather than us getting rumours (not facts ) for both at the same time, and it's the hobgoblins we're seeing decent rumours for first.

I know what you mean Harry, I've seen a scary amount of Ghost's rumours starting to come from other rumour mongerer's in the past month or two.

Anyways, thanks for the rumours Phantomie, looks like my CD will be on hold for a while until the new releases come calling.

I suppose the goblin wolves will at least have reins or something, I doubt it will be exactly the same ones.

Didn't the OP say OnG would be using the same ones? I believe the time-scale was by the end of the year.

It can be the same ones but with added stuff. The first cold one we've seen was the naked one after all.

Re: Hobgoblins and Dogs of War

Well either way it should probably go on OnG rumour roundup (although I also have to say that thread looks terribly outdated - most stuff listed on there is not rumour anymore.)

Give the guy a break. Some people have sources in strange places and hear things in very cryptic terms from them. I hear things from time to time from someone I know who is in the know, but have been reluctant to share them here due to the preponderance of flaming attacks new rumors get. Every one of them has turned out right including my mention of Chaos Dwarf re-release which was months before anyone else mentioned it on here. I got flamed. I backed out of the thread and a year and a half later they arrived in all their glory.

I rarely even post anymore due to the hostility that often greets posters. Now I lurk in the shadows, patiently waiting to continue my Dogs of War army, about which I have heard tidbits as well...

Thx Anvillbrow, my m8 will be happy to hear that DoW is making a comeback. I might just start a Tilean force myself if all these rumours are true.

Screw those idiots fella, I pretty sure more people appreciate fresh rumours than those who accuse you off talking crap so to say. It just with all things that the negative outvoices the positive, because those who don't complain don't often post to say thanks. Look forward to seeing some Dogs of War love, as there is a way to use them in every army and generally get some of the most interesting units and fluff imo. Thanks for the sly hint of rumour fella.

Part of the reason people don't always post to say thanks for the rumors, is because if we all did so, you'd have these giant threads where 90% of the posts are people thanking the rumor provider.
My goal for the year is to get another 100 models painted.
    So far I haven't touched a brush.

As opposed to now, where 90% of rumour threads are unsolicited opinions that mainly consist of nerdrage or tangentially related wishlisting?
