What are some models that you think can't be topped?
Like GW can re-make them ten more times but a current or past version is the apex. Everything on the design is where you want it to be.

Hellcannon. Not a huge fan of it in game, but the model.... Well, anyone who says Aly Morrison can't sculpt needs to go stare at that model for a while.
Also, Be'Lakor. The plastic DP is nice, but if they ever release a Daemoney type model better than Be'Lakor, I'll buy a hat and eat it. He is simply the best miniature ever sculpted, period.
Currently working on - The Blood Herd of Vorgoth (Beastmen)
Rankings HQ - 8th in New Zealand, Best General - Warriors of Chaos (And that's enough vanity for now....)
Currently Listening to (Keeping me sane whilst painting) - My Dying Bride - A Map Of All Our Failures
Be'Lakor hands down is the best.
Machete don't text.
Offhand, Jes Goodwin's Khorne Lord on Juggernaut has my vote. The mount's bestial rage juxtaposed with the rider's mid-battle calm is amazing.
Oldschool metal orcs.
Green Knight. That thing is ancient and still one the best model in the Bret range, hands down.
Help me with my campaign rules! http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324441
Green knight and Be'lakor are at the top for me, not including forge world stuff of corse.
Here's another vote for Be'lakor. What a phenomenal model. He just edges out Archaon as my favorite model ever.
When it comes to army units it gets a bit trickier. While they will never be getting new models any time soon (or ever for that matter), Teutogen Guard are hard to top. Their command is absolutely gorgeous. The standard bearer alone tops most hero models. I went out of my way to get a small collection of them which eventually kickstarted my Empire army. The old daemonettes also fall into the hard to top category.
What a horrible night to have a curse.
Gary Morley's Nagash.
He dropped such a multi-megaton blast of seismic devastation into that figure that GW will likely never, ever again dare to give it another go. I'm sure just the thought of it would taint all future attempts and sear the minds of potential sculptors.
Jes Goodwin's Gnawdoom is tops as well. No point in going back to that well either.
The everqueene and handmaidens are still awsome models.
The Hellcannon inspired me to make this thread. Looking at the dwarfs and cannon it made me say "I wish the FW models were more like the hellcannon." The Storm of Chaos models overall are when I thought fantasy models were getting a lot better in looks.
For me, i also really like the current Slann.
Old style temple guards. I prefered the old saurus design, more bulky and brutish than serpentine. The temple guards with their huge helmets were absolutely stunning. Same gos for pretty much the entire 5th edition range IMO. Kroxigors, cold ones, salamanders, they were so much better then.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather. Not screaming like the other people in his car.
Got those old 5th edition lizardmen collecting dust? PM me, I really need more metal skinks with javelins.
Another vote for Be'Lakor.
Closely followed by the Khorne Lord on Juggernaut.
Damn, why does Chaos get all the cool stuff...
Dark Lancers Renegade Astartes Chapter, Chaos Space Marines - 7,000pts
The Undead Scourge, Vampire Counts - 2,500pts [log]
Averland State Army, Empire - 3,000pts [log]
Still need one more Zombie Dragon/Terrorgheist rider (the Blood Dragon, not Ghoul King)? PM me for much £££s!
Warhammer 40k or Fantasy player in North Wales? PM me!
I would say the old daemonettes, for rank and file.
Corsairs come close second.
I would also have to say the executioners are good too.
Warhammer 6th edition.
Grey knights: wins:8 draws:1 losses:1.
Blood angels: wins:2 draws:0 losses:1.
New projects: dark elves, cygnar, blood angels (brotherhood of blood)
The classic Dog head Chaos Warriors of Khorne, also, the fly Warrior of Nurgle. These I believe would be hard to top.
The old Teclis was great too.
I hated the 5th ed Saurus back in the day, because they reminded me of Scooby Doo type monsters. I have recently got hold of some Saurus Metals and they look quite good, now, if only their tails wernt so small and their poses a little less 19 century T-Rex.

....and, as always.... thanks for reading.
Current skaven models (released since the last book), The majority of Warhammer Forge releases, Rogue Trader era Orks and Warhammer orcs circa 3rd Ed.
Member of J.A.D.E.DTrying to convince Warseer that GW are anything less than perfect is like trying to teach a horde of zombies that lettuce is a perfectly acceptable alternative to brains.
Lest we forget
The old Dark Elf Corsair Champion with ane axe and a severed head. That is one iconic miniature I've loved since first setting my eyes upon it.
Plog of Jericho - Wood Elves, Daemons, Beastmen, CSM and Whatnot.
MD: You got a christmas gift?
House: Yeah, 'cause I worship Santa. Or wait, is that Satan? I always get them mixed up.
@satan.
A guy I play against has the old corsairs.
And the old hydra.
Warhammer 6th edition.

Blood angels: wins:2 draws:0 losses:1.
