174th Death Korps of Krieg

Hi there !

Yes, this is another Death Korps of Krieg project log ...

I recently bought a little DKoK minis. I painted one or two of them when I was fed up with painting Elysians .

I used to paint them in the classic dark grey scheme. Not very exciting at all !!

And the other day, I found Sheep's project log.

I really love what he did on his DKoK and especially his autumn themed camo pattern. He made a very nice tutorial in his project log (HERE) and I decided to try on the DKoK wounded minis I had as a test ...

I just changed some little things in Sheep's method : I replaced the black/scorched brown mix with charadon granit, made larger patches and a little less colour points.

Here's the test model :




And just because the result pleased me, I decided to try it on a centaur crew and adapt the colours to a tank camo pattern.

Can't really say much about the wounhe pic is dark and a bit blurry and the mini doesn't really stand out from the base.

My airbrush have a lot of work those days ! I have plenty of good ol' chimera to paint

I made a try of this camo pattern on a leman russ ...





Then I grabbed my steel legion hydra ...





I began to turn mad and grabbed my "classic grey camo pattern" malcador ...



Now my wife thinks I lost control ...



Still have a lot to do !

I really like that camo scheme - it's a very nice twist on Sheep's method.

You're really cracking out the tanks too - they look lovely and the weathering is nicely done without overpowering the models.

You are mad though
