Great job on the dwarf with a crossbow, I really liked the character of lots of the older dwarf designs, rather than the contemporary stuff. The wolf riders and chariots are great, I think I used to have a unit of those kicking around my bits box not too long ago, make me wish I hadn't given them away. Very nice stuff though!

Great work on some amazing minatures. I love these fig and have always regretted not having the money in the late 90's when you could still order them from GWs parts service.

    Stunning!

I remember getting into the hobby some 15 odd years ago and being entranced by many of those dwarf models you have. I traded my dwarf army away. I still wake up screaming at night from the regret . Keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for all the nice comments, glad you like my work.

Its funny there seems to be alot of... anguish/regret/if only when it comes to OOP models I KNOW I DO !! if only i had a time machine not only would i save money on bidding on Ebay, but i could also make a fortune with the knowledge of what goes for £££ on it as well, i'm watching a box of 36 plastic I.G at the moment and its at £70 already and you can never go wrong with Chaos dwarfs.

So back with some dwarfs, this time a Throne of power and the completed bearers. Hope you like.

Jumpin' in to subscribe to this one. Quite a bit of cool stuff right up my alley.

    Re: My OOP Dwarf's

More of the throne just the king to go and some touching up, not totally sold on the base all a bit flat but can look into that at a later date.

And one to show more detail of the throne, not sure about the stone step and silver chair as it all sort of merges into one. I've given the silver a blue wash which doesn't show up on the photos.

    Re: My OOP Dwarf's

The base looks a bit large... You could easily make it more lively by just adding some grass flock in some of the corners, and a pinch more brown here and there.

    Throne of Power

@Spjuth: Yes the base is big 80mm x 80mm, but i dont game so the base size is not an issue for me so just went for something that gave my room to play with.

So i've completed the Throne, ignore the base as i plan on re-doing it at a later date. The idea being to go for a ruined/lost hold so a mixture of the 2 bases i've done but with broken pillars and maybe rusty weapons etc.

    And a poor close-up

Amazing final result! Good job! I must say I rly like the base as well ... I've almost completed a Throne of power of my own . I might look to your basing for inspiration.

Brilliant work. My only recommendation would be to change the color of the book to a dark red so that it doesn't blend in with the model so much.

    Awesome result!
I think the base looks great! Far better than mine usually do.
And the book looks great in green too, I wouldn't change it.

    Dwarf Gyrocopter

Well here's the latest addition to my throng. This shows the basing i'm going to go for as well. Hope you like.

beautiful classic Thorgrimm: that tubby dude won me more games than i care to mention in 4th.... your colours are really crisp and that yellow is plain gorgeous.

Base is very characterful, may need some bones (goblinoid)

    Keep going!!
